(<a href=\"https:\/\/fox56news.com\/?ipid=dl\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" data-ylk=\"elm:link;elmt:article_link;slk:FOX 56;itc:0;sec:content-canvas\" data-yga=\"{&quot;yLinkElement&quot;:&quot;context_link&quot;,&quot;yModuleName&quot;:&quot;content-canvas&quot;,&quot;yLinkText&quot;:&quot;FOX 56&quot;}\" class=\"link \">FOX 56<\/a>) \u2014 The Paris man accused of murder in connection with the death of Luke Ashcraft is due in court on Wednesday afternoon.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">In the early hours of May 13, Sheriff Tony Asbury told FOX 56 News that a Paris homeowner, later identified as 60-year-old Lucian \u201cLuke\u201d Ashcraft, died following an altercation with a man allegedly attempting to steal from his Ruddles Mill Road home.<\/p>\n<p>RELATED:<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">First responders tried to save Ashcraft, but court documents show that he was pronounced dead at CenterPoint Hospital.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">The suspect was later identified as 40-year-old Timothy Mitchell.
