Dior 2027 Cruise Collection Show <\/p>\n

The tailoring was equally considered: the Bar jacket returned, stretched to mid-thigh and finished with fringe, while a gray wool coat was printed with the striped shadow of venetian blinds\u2014a direct reference to Hitchcock\u2019s use of light. Denim jeans were embroidered with fine silver chains mimicking cotton threads. New Saddle bags came with car paint surfaces and motor key charms. Shoes were adorned with handmade flowers, orchids and sequins. Philip Treacy contributed feathered headpieces for the men, spelling out words like \u201cDior,” \u201cStar,\u201d and “Flow” in weightless typography. Shirts made in collaboration with L.A. artist Ed Ruscha\u2014whose work Anderson has described as capturing the mundane grandeur of the city\u2014rounded out the collection.<\/p>\n

Guests arrived to find a screenplay in lieu of traditional show notes and a houndstooth wool and cashmere blanket on each seat. The crowd was about as Hollywood as it gets: Miley Cyrus, Anya Taylor-Joy, Al Pacino, Tracee Ellis Ross, Jeff Goldblum, Greta Lee, Miles Teller, Kim Gordon, Danny Elfman, Miranda Kerr, Lauren Hutton, Chase Sui Wonders, Maude Apatow, Dominic Fike and many more.<\/p>\n

Guido Palau kept hair long, natural and wavy\u2014the kind of effortless texture that feels native to L.A. Peter Philips\u2019 makeup was equally understated: luminous skin via Dior Forever Skin Glow foundation, a wash of color from the Backstage Rosy Glow Blush Sticks in Berry, Rosewood and Pink Lilac, softly defined eyes with the Diorshow 5 Couleurs palette in Nude Dress and a pearlescent finish on nails with Dior Nail Glow.<\/p>\n

After the show, guests wandered the striking new galleries before heading to the afterparty at Chateau Marmont, where In-N-Out burgers and elaborate cakes were served, and an epic dance party bled late into the night. A French fashion house, a Los Angeles institution and a very good cheeseburger: somehow, it all made perfect sense.<\/p>\n
