{"id":20398,"date":"2026-05-22T19:03:08","date_gmt":"2026-05-22T19:03:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/france\/20398\/"},"modified":"2026-05-22T19:03:08","modified_gmt":"2026-05-22T19:03:08","slug":"germany-receives-first-eurofighter-tranche-4-from-airbus","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/france\/20398\/","title":{"rendered":"Germany receives first Eurofighter Tranche 4 from Airbus"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"800\" height=\"536\" alt=\"Germany receives first Eurofighter Tranche 4 from Airbus\" title=\"Germany receives first Eurofighter Tranche 4 from Airbus\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/france\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/1779473468.webp\" data-rjs=\"2\"\/><\/p>\n<p>Credit: Craig Hoyle\/FlightGlobal<\/p>\n<p> Airbus Defence &amp; Space has revealed the first of 38 Eurofighter Tranche 4 jets being produced for the German Air Force. <\/p>\n<p>On show at the Airbus Defence Summit, staged at the company\u2019s Manching site near Munich on 20 May, the single-seat jet has the production number GS0115 and the service registration 34+03, <a href=\"https:\/\/news.az\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">News.Az<\/a> reports, citing <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.flightglobal.com\/defence\/2026\/05\/airbus-displays-quadriga-standard-tranche-4-eurofighter-for-first-time\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">FlightGlobal<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/news.az\/news\/air-france-and-airbus-found-guilty-in-deadly-2009-atlantic-flight-crash\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Airbus<\/a> has already completed production of several Tranche 4 aircraft at its Manching final assembly site, but the new model has yet to be flown for the first time. That milestone event is anticipated within the coming weeks, the airframer says.<\/p>\n<p>Berlin\u2019s Project Quadriga acquisition totals 38 Tranche 4-standard aircraft, with the new version to eventually be equipped with the ECRS Mk1 active electronically scanned array radar, supplied by Hensoldt.
