Montreal-based Rodeo FX has launched a new 40,000-square Paris studio, which will include all of its French units, including Mikros Animation, which was acquired last year. The Rue Dieu-based studio, located in the 10th arrondissement, will be the home of Rodeo FX\u2019s French divisions, which include Film & Episodic Advertising & Experiences and Mikros Animation.<\/p>\n

This expansion is a testament to the exceptional work delivered by our local teams and reinforces our decision to bolster Rodeo FX\u2019s European presence,\u201d said Sebastien Moreau, President & CEO of Rodeo FX.<\/p>\n

Franck Lambertz, VFX supervisor and head of the Paris studio, added, \u201cThe journey we\u2019ve made in just two years has been incredible, with every project pushing us further creatively and technically. Entering this new chapter together, of bringing all our teams into a space as inspiring as this, only makes you want to try even harder.\u201d<\/p>\n

The VFX house, which was founded by Moreau in Montreal in 2006, has become a major player in the global entertainment scene, having delivered top-notch work on projects such as Games of Thrones, Stranger Things, WandaVision, LOTR: The Rings of Power, John Wick: Chapter 4, IT: Return to Derry, Wednesday, The Sandman and the two Dune movies. It won an Academy Award for Visual Effects in 2008 for The Golden Compass.<\/p>\n

\"Rodeo\"Rodeo<\/a>Rodeo FX Paris<\/p>\n

Rodeo FX acquired Mikros Animation (PAW Patrol: The Mighty Movie, The SpongeBob Movie: Sponge on the Run, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem) last year<\/a> after the collapse of Technicolor, which owned Mikros, MPC, The Mill and Technicolor Group.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis move represents a key step in our integration within the Rodeo FX family,\u201d said Julien Meesters, President of Mikros Animation. \u201cIt\u2019s a natural continuation of our journey, allowing us to leverage a global pipeline and innovative technologies for our next productions.\u201d<\/p>\n
