Russell Crowe defended himself after he issued a stern warning to fans <\/a>seeking autographs outside his Paris hotel.<\/p>\n

The \u201cGladiator\u201d star responded to TMZ\u2019s video of the incident on X<\/a> Tuesday, calling it \u201cclickbait.\u201d<\/p>\n

Crowe, 62, then insisted that \u201ceverybody got their autograph and selfie, the passage to the hotel was kept free for guests, and I still got to the airport on time.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cOne man, no security. Handled,\u201d Crowe added. \u201cWhat\u2019s your problem?\u201d<\/p>\n

In the video, Crowe warned autograph hunters he\u2019d abandon the impromptu meet and greet if just one person acted like a \u201cd\u2013k.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cAre you listening?\u201d Crowe asked. \u201cStay where you are, don\u2019t f\u2013king push in on me. I\u2019ll come to you. Give everyone space.\u201d<\/p>\n

As the Oscar winner signed memorabilia in the crowd, one fan asked Crowe if he could also write his \u201cGladiator\u201d character Maximus\u2019 name.<\/p>\n

\u201cNo,\u201d Crowe bluntly replied, before moving on to greet other fans.<\/p>\n

TMZ tweeted the video and wrote, \u201cIf you needed a reminder that fans are not always priority No. 1 \u2014 turn to Russell Crowe \u2014 cause the guy was absolutely not having it outside of his Paris hotel.\u201d<\/p>\n

Crowe previously spoke about regretting his own bad behavior in a 2024 GQ interview. <\/a><\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m in awe of people these days who say, \u2018I have no regrets,\u2019\u201d he said at the time. \u201cI\u2019ve got a s\u2013t ton of regrets. An angry word, an overreaction, a missed opportunity for friendship \u2014 lots of things like that.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n

He called his regrets \u201cbadges of honor\u201d and noted he\u2019s learned to change his behavior when he\u2019s in the wrong.<\/p>\n

\u201cHaving the ability to have that introspection and go, \u2018You know, the other day you were a f\u2014ing dick, mate. Do your best not to be a f\u2014ing dick like that again,’\u201d Crowe shared.<\/p>\n

Crowe went to Paris with\u00a0his 42-year-old girlfriend<\/a>, Britney Theriot, and they attended the opening day of the French Open tennis championships on Sunday.<\/p>\n

The \u201cRobin Hood\u201d actor wore a navy suit, gray waistcoat, light blue tie and shades, while Theriot rocked a black blazer, white shirt and minimal jewelry, including a chunky watch.<\/p>\n

Crowe notably tried to catch a tennis ball during Alexander Zverev and Benjamin Bonzi\u2019s match.<\/p>\n
