{"id":26496,"date":"2026-05-28T18:05:09","date_gmt":"2026-05-28T18:05:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/france\/26496\/"},"modified":"2026-05-28T18:05:09","modified_gmt":"2026-05-28T18:05:09","slug":"france-seeks-massive-electrification-amid-fossil-fuel-crisis","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/france\/26496\/","title":{"rendered":"France seeks massive electrification amid fossil fuel crisis"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>French President Emmanuel Macron has met with the national \u201celectrification team,\u201d which brings together key stakeholders, innovative industrialists, companies, and financiers, to accelerate the implementation of the government\u2019s electrification plan unveiled in April.<\/p>\n<p>The electrification team is gathered around a common objective \u2013 to thoroughly electrify energy use and all sectors of the French economy, and Macron has formalized concrete commitments in four priority areas: electric mobility, industry, transportation, and buildings, according to a press release from the \u00c9lys\u00e9e Palace.<\/p>\n<p>The French government intends to nearly double its annual support for <a href=\"https:\/\/balkangreenenergynews.com\/germany-france-move-to-bridge-nuclear-divide-with-joint-eu-energy-policy\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">electrification<\/a>, from EUR 5.5 billion to EUR 10 billion by 2030, Prime Minister S\u00e9bastien Lecornu said in April.<\/p>\n<p>Macron has said the electrification effort will involve 6,000 French businesses, according to news agencies.<\/p>\n<p>The priority areas for electrification are mobility, industry, transportation, and buildings<\/p>\n<p>The electrification plan comprises 22 measures designed to electrify the country\u2019s economy.
