Stellantis Pro One will unveil an autonomous concept in September.<\/p>\n The commercial vehicle unit will introduce 11 new models by 2030.<\/p>\n This includes new medium and large vans with multi-energy powertrains.<\/p>\n Commercial vans aren\u2019t sexy and that\u2019s especially true when they\u2019re sharing the limelight with new V8-powered sports cars<\/a> and SUVs. Given this, the automotive industry largely overlooked Stellantis\u2019 commercial vehicle unit during their recent investor day event.<\/p>\n Stellantis Pro One apparently felt left out, so they\u2019re tooting their own horn and teasing an upcoming concept. The model will be unveiled at IAA Hannover in September and is being billed as an autonomous \u201cbox-on-wheels.\u201d<\/p>\n More: Three All-New Rams Land By 2030 Including The Ramcharger<\/a><\/p>\n That\u2019s an apt description as the concept looks like a futuristic transport pod. As you can see, the box-like concept has an angular roof and wheels pushed to the outside edges. It appears to ride on a skateboard-like platform and feature a digital display.<\/p>\n That\u2019s not much to go on, but the company said the concept will be zero emission and rethink last-mile delivery. It also promises to streamline operations and significantly reduce operating costs by being fully autonomous.<\/p>\n
11 New Models Coming Soon<\/p>\n Besides the concept, Stellantis Pro One announced plans to launch 11 new models globally by 2030. This includes next-generation medium and large vans. They will offer a \u201cfull spectrum of powertrain options, including battery electric<\/a>, hybrid and internal combustion technologies, with a strong focus on hybrid solutions.\u201d The automaker also promised best-in-class payload, cargo volume, and conversion readiness.<\/p>\n Many of the remaining models appear to be pickups including the Dakota<\/a> and North American Rampage. Ram is also renewing its existing truck lineup as the company has previously said we\u2019ll see new light and heavy duty trucks.<\/p>\n
Outside of the United States, there will be the \u201crenewal of the Fiat Strada and Fiat Toro<\/a>\u201d in South America. The company also announced four product renewals and this is said to include an updated small van, a major renewal of a class-leading global compact van, and the introduction of two new electric variants. They will offer LFP and NMC batteries to \u201cfurther enhance range and affordability.\u201d<\/p>\n Thanks to the new and updated models, Stellantis Pro One aims to be the #1 commercial vehicle company in the world by 2030. They\u2019re also aiming to grow sales by 30%, which would equate to around 2,145,000 units annually.<\/p>\n
