French actor Pierre Deny has died<\/p>\n

Deny, who was 69, died on Monday, May 25, after he was diagnosed with ALS, according to a statement shared by his daughters<\/p>\n

Deny starred in seasons 3 and 4 of Emily in Paris as Louis de L\u00e9on, dad to Nicolas (Paul Forman)<\/p>\n

French actor Pierre Deny has died.<\/p>\n

Deny, who was 69, died on Monday, May 25. His daughters confirmed the news of his death in a statement, according to French outlet TF1<\/a>. “It is with deep emotion that we announce the passing of Pierre Deny, which occurred this Monday following a sudden and severe case of ALS<\/a>.”<\/p>\n

Deny’s most recent roles were in the French series Camping Paradis and Le Fil d’Ariane, and he starred in three episodes of Emily in Paris<\/a>.<\/p>\n

In seasons 3 and 4, Deny played Louis de L\u00e9on, father to Nicolas (Paul Forman<\/a>) and CEO of JVMA.<\/p>\n

Actress Sylvie Vartan shared a tribute<\/a> to Deny on Instagram on May 26. “I shared some great moments with him on stage in Isabelle Mergault’s play. He was a generous actor and a sensitive and funny man,” she wrote. “My thoughts are with his family and loved ones at this painful time.”<\/p>\n

Deny began his acting career in the ’80s, and was best known for his roles in French TV series including Sous Le Soleil, Une femme d’honneur and Cinq soeurs.<\/p>\n

Prior to Emily in Paris, he starred in over 300 episodes of the French soap opera Demain Nous Appartient, from its premiere in 2017 through 2023.<\/p>\n
