{"id":31141,"date":"2026-06-05T09:23:13","date_gmt":"2026-06-05T09:23:13","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/france\/31141\/"},"modified":"2026-06-05T09:23:13","modified_gmt":"2026-06-05T09:23:13","slug":"thales-speeds-up-delivery-of-australian-bushmaster-vehicles-to-the-netherlands","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/france\/31141\/","title":{"rendered":"Thales Speeds Up Delivery of Australian Bushmaster Vehicles to the Netherlands"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>\t\t\t<a href=\"https:\/\/dronefront.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">&#13;<br \/>\n    <img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/france\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/1779972858_803_WhatsAppVideo2026-05-15at09.23.58.gif\" alt=\"The Drone Front\" width=\"1280\" height=\"539\"\/>&#13;<br \/>\n<\/a><\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Thales is set to expedite the delivery of an undisclosed number of Australian-made Bushmaster protected mobility vehicles (PMVs) to the Netherlands in response to an urgent operational request.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The vehicles in their latest configuration will be produced and undergo systems integration in Australia, supporting the local industry and strengthening Canberra\u2019s relations with European Union member states under the EU-Australia Security and Defence Partnership.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Andrew Downes, VP of Land for Thales Australia, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thalesgroup.com\/en\/news-centre\/press-releases\/thales-strengthens-royal-netherlands-army-readiness-bushmaster-combat\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">described<\/a> the Bushmaster as \u201cone of Australia\u2019s most trusted defence exports.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cThis collaboration demonstrates how government and industry can work together to move quickly when our partners need capability,\u201d he added.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This announcement follows Australia\u2019s 750-million Australian dollar ($538 million) investment in April to acquire an <a href=\"https:\/\/thedefensepost.com\/2026\/04\/27\/australia-bushmaster-upgraded-trucks\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">additional 268 next-generation Bushmaster<\/a> vehicles, along with upgraded platforms, to enhance the Australian Defence Forces\u2019 ground vehicle fleet.<\/p>\n<p>Australian-Made Bushmaster Vehicle\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.army.gov.au\/equipment\/vehicles-and-surveillance\/bushmaster\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">Bushmaster<\/a> PMVs are a combat-proven 4\u00d74 platform measuring approximately 7 meters (23 feet) long, 2 meters (6.5 feet) wide, and weighing about 12,500 kilograms (27,558 pounds), seating up to 10 personnel.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It is fitted with NATO-standard armor to protect troops from explosive devices.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Powered by a 300-horsepower Caterpillar 3126E diesel engine, the platform can reach speeds of over 100 kilometers (62 miles) per hour and a range of 800 kilometers (497 miles).<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The vehicle can be fitted with a remote weapon station or a crewed open turret capable of integrating 5.56mm and 7.62mm machine guns.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"&#13;
