Nade\u0300ge Vanhe\u0301e<\/a> brought the fash pack to Los Angeles for the second chapter of her AW26 collection for Herm\u00e8s<\/a>. The show setting was a pavilion located in the heart of Bel Air, coated a calming pale yellow. While the first chapter, unveiled in Paris back in March, moved through a colour palette inspired by \u201cthe violet hour\u201d \u2013 when the afternoon transitions to evening \u2013 this outing had all the warmth of a balmy Hollywood sunset. Think dusty yellows and cherry reds, set against inky black leathers and the occasional flash of open-sky blue.<\/p>\n

In the spirit of being in Tinseltown, Vanh\u00e9e was inspired by the performance world. She had looked to the uniforms of dancers, a fusion of \u201ccraft and choreography\u201d, to bring a lightness to her Herm\u00e8s wardrobe. The collection was chockful of beautiful dresses prepped and primed for all occasions. One highlight was a charcoal halterneck frock with a handkerchief hemline. Stamped with echoes of the print that dazzles across the house\u2019s Soleil de Soie Tattoo carr\u00e9 silk scarf, the dress was given a biker feel when worn beneath a buttery leather blouson. Elsewhere, satin dresses, all in jewel tones, borrowed elements of their construction from a ballet slipper, while the closing look \u2013 an all-black, red carpet-worthy number in sequins with a slit up the thigh \u2013 twinkled like a Hollywood night.<\/p>\n

Packed with studded leather vests, tiny leather hot pants and jazzy jumpsuits with glittery legs that danced as models walked, the collection could slide into the wardrobe of any stylish singer or actress with total ease. In a city where everybody\u2019s a star, this outing from Vanh\u00e9e shone bright.<\/p>\n
