{"id":39197,"date":"2026-06-22T09:06:33","date_gmt":"2026-06-22T09:06:33","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/france\/39197\/"},"modified":"2026-06-22T09:06:33","modified_gmt":"2026-06-22T09:06:33","slug":"new-renault-megane-e-tech-electric-arrives-with-sportier-design-and-310-mile-range-the-irish-news","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/france\/39197\/","title":{"rendered":"New Renault Megane E-Tech Electric arrives with sportier design and 310-mile range \u2013 The Irish News"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"c-paragraph\">Renault has revised its electric Megane E-Tech Electric to bring a more dynamic exterior design and more range than before.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">The Megane E-Tech Electric was launched in 2022 as one of Renault\u2019s new wave of electric vehicles and one which has since been followed up by models such as the 4, 5 and Twingo.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" data-chromatic=\"ignore\" alt=\"The car now sits slightly taller than before\" class=\"c-image\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/france\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/06\/WXRVBJNALNLDTCDJZCSK2K2JRU.jpg\"  width=\"800\" height=\"533\"\/>The car now sits slightly taller than before <\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">Now, it has been given several revisions to bring it closer into line with the rest of the Renault range, with a remodelled front and rear end giving the Megane an appearance more like that of the current Austral and Rafale SUVs. There are chequerboard daytime running lights, and redesigned alloy wheels to help give the car more presence overall. Because it features a new battery, the Megane now sits 20mm taller than before, too.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">Underneath is a new 67kWh battery which brings a range of 310 miles, representing an uplift on the 285 miles offered by the original Megane E-Tech Electric. Renault has also increased the maximum charging speed of the Megane from 130kW to 165kW, allowing a 10 to 80 per cent charge in around 25 minutes.
