David Pownall, VP, Power Systems UK&I at Schneider Electric, and Professor Gabriela Medero, Associate Principal for Enterprise, Heriot-Watt University, sign the MoU at Heriot-Watt University\u2019s Edinburgh campus on Tuesday 2 June.<\/p>\n
It will support the exploration of digital twin-based optimisation, data-driven decarbonisation and smart energy and transport solutions, using simulation tools and industrial automation technologies in research and demonstration environments.<\/p>\n
The partnership also builds on existing collaboration between Heriot-Watt and AVEVA, including research into how digital twin technologies can support real-time monitoring, predictive maintenance, forecasting and operational optimisation for electrolysis systems.<\/p>\n
As policymakers and industry look to flexible electrolyser operations to support renewable energy integration and low-carbon hydrogen, digital technologies are expected to play a growing role in helping organisations model, test and optimise complex infrastructure systems before they are deployed at scale.<\/p>\n
