The Paris prosecutor\u2019s office said shortly after that a substance \u201cresembling\u201d 3-MMC \u2014 a common designer drug \u2014 had been identified, but that further tests were needed.<\/p>\n<p>Hassan has consistently pushed back against the allegations, saying she had only carried cannabidiol (CBD) products that were legally purchased in Brussels. CBD is a chemical that is found in the cannabis plant but does not have the same intoxicating effects as tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), the main psychoactive ingredient in marijuana.<\/p>\n<p>Hassan\u2019s lawyer, Vincent Brengarth, said a \u201ctoxicological analysis\u201d had identified only a \u201cnegligible level\u201d of THC.
