They strutted to a tres chic soundtrack that concluded with the Tinseltown-inspired \u201cKelly Watch the Stars\u201d from the French electronic duo Air.<\/p>\n<p class=\"shortcode-media shortcode-media-rebelmouse-image\"> <img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" id=\"5ddec\" data-rm-shortcode-id=\"ac53569e3aaaa81635daffcdce660cfe\" data-rm-shortcode-name=\"rebelmouse-image\" class=\"rm-shortcode rm-lazyloadable-image \" lazy-loadable=\"true\" src=\"data:image\/svg+xml,%3Csvg%20xmlns='http:\/\/www.w3.org\/2000\/svg'%20viewBox='0%200%201200%20800'%3E%3C\/svg%3E\" data-runner-src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/france\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/06\/tracee-ellis-ross.jpg\" width=\"1200\" height=\"800\" alt=\"Tracee Ellis Ross \"\/> Tracee Ellis Ross Stefanie Keenan\/Getty Images for Christian Dior<\/p>\n<p>It was all \u201can illusion of L.A., in L.A.,\u201d noted a screenplay of the evening, which outlined \u201cthe House\u2019s longstanding relationship with Hollywood.\u201d The script, placed on every seat beside a Dior cashmere blanket, began with a scene in 1949 between Alfred Hitchcock, Warner Bros executives, and Marlene Dietrich, who declared, \u201cNo Dior, No Dietrich\u201d in her negotiations to headline the film Stage Fright. Wearing the brand, in this telling, ensured that her seductress character Charlotte Inwood \u201cappears truly glamorous.\u201d <\/p>\n<p class=\"shortcode-media shortcode-media-rebelmouse-image\"> <img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" id=\"a6c2a\" data-rm-shortcode-id=\"b9338fc08023ae472501a50bb6ce6cc2\" data-rm-shortcode-name=\"rebelmouse-image\" class=\"rm-shortcode rm-lazyloadable-image \" lazy-loadable=\"true\" src=\"data:image\/svg+xml,%3Csvg%20xmlns='http:\/\/www.w3.org\/2000\/svg'%20viewBox='0%200%201200%20800'%3E%3C\/svg%3E\" data-runner-src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/france\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/06\/al-pacino.jpg\" width=\"1200\" height=\"800\" alt=\"Al Pacino\"\/> Al PacinoStefanie Keenan\/Getty Images for Christian Dior <\/p>\n<p>Stage Fright, along with Les Enfants Terrible, were two 1950 films that involved a collaboration with house founder Christian Dior, and these \u201care the main starting points for this collection,\u201d Jonathan Anderson, Dior\u2019s creative director since 2025, noted in the script. The gay fashion guru, also known for his eponymous label JW Anderson, clearly leaned into history as much as camp in this show\u2019s staging.<\/p>\n<p>And in the screenplay press notes, playfully titled Wilshire Boulevard (the location of LACMA, as well as a riff on Billy Wilder\u2019s midcentury film noir), Anderson spoke with some seriousness to the relationship between film and fashion, particularly in times of turmoil.<\/p>\n<p class=\"shortcode-media shortcode-media-rebelmouse-image\"> <img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" id=\"5988f\" data-rm-shortcode-id=\"19b53155ff4ff76e36cdd33df3bcf155\" data-rm-shortcode-name=\"rebelmouse-image\" class=\"rm-shortcode rm-lazyloadable-image \" lazy-loadable=\"true\" src=\"data:image\/svg+xml,%3Csvg%20xmlns='http:\/\/www.w3.org\/2000\/svg'%20viewBox='0%200%201200%201799'%3E%3C\/svg%3E\" data-runner-src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/france\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/06\/dior-runway-model-wearing-floral-look.jpg\" width=\"1200\" height=\"1799\" alt=\"Dior runway model wearing floral look\"\/> Florals figured prominently in the Dior Cruise collection.courtesy Dior<\/p>\n<p>\u201cChristian Dior understood how important the idea of \u2018the dream\u2019 was for people after the war \u2014 as a form of escapism,\u201d Anderson stated. \u201cHe explores this in couture, his Surrealist friends were obsessed with dreams and, of course, Hollywood is \u2018The Dream Factory.\u2019 It was all part of the same cross-cultural shift.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"shortcode-media shortcode-media-rebelmouse-image\"> <img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" id=\"9c8c6\" data-rm-shortcode-id=\"714fcba6d7791110946c97ebd9818ea8\" data-rm-shortcode-name=\"rebelmouse-image\" class=\"rm-shortcode rm-lazyloadable-image \" lazy-loadable=\"true\" src=\"data:image\/svg+xml,%3Csvg%20xmlns='http:\/\/www.w3.org\/2000\/svg'%20viewBox='0%200%201200%20799'%3E%3C\/svg%3E\" data-runner-src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/france\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/06\/lacma-exterior.jpg\" width=\"1200\" height=\"799\" alt=\"LACMA exterior\"\/> LACMA received a film noir transformation for the Dior Cruise 2027 show.Eric Staudenmair<\/p>\n<p>The screenplay concluded, \u201cThe guests wind their way back to their cars and are driven to the show after-party at a location nearby.\u201d That location turned out to be the Chateau Marmont, the storied Sunset Strip hotel modeled after a French castle. There, the stars, draped in Dior blankets, sipped champagne with one hand.
