CMA CGM to Acquire FedEx Supply Chain for US$1.4 Billion<\/a><\/p>\n CMA CGM Group has agreed to acquire FedEx Supply Chain for an enterprise value of US$1.4 billion, expanding the French shipping and logistics company\u2019s contract logistics footprint in North America through its CEVA Logistics subsidiary. The transaction would nearly triple CEVA\u2019s North American contract logistics operations. The combined business is expected to operate about 150 warehouses and employ about 20,000 people across more than 240 locations in the region.\u00a0<\/p>\n Mexico Drives 19.4% Rise in North American Freight Trade<\/a><\/p>\n Mexico\u2019s freight trade with the United States reached US$86 billion in April 2026, rising 23.4% YoY and helping lift total North American cross-border freight flows by 19.4%, according to the US Bureau of Transportation Statistics (BTS). Freight moving between the United States, Mexico and Canada totaled US$150.8 billion across all transport modes during the month. Trade with Mexico represented more than half of that amount, while US-Canada freight reached US$64.8 billion, up 14.4% compared to April 2025.<\/p>\n ANAM, South Korea Deepen Customs and Logistics Cooperation<\/a><\/p>\n Mexico is strengthening customs cooperation with South Korea as both countries seek to facilitate bilateral trade, support South Korean companies operating in Mexico, and explore logistics opportunities linked to the Interoceanic Corridor of the Isthmus of Tehuantepec.<\/p>\n
