href=\"https:\/\/lngprime.com\/asia\/pakistan-seeks-another-spot-lng-cargo\/190842\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">launched this tender<\/a>\u00a0on July 1 seeking one 140,000 cbm cargo on a delivered ex-ship (DES) basis with the delivery window scheduled for July 10-11.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Two companies took part in the tender, including TotalEnergies Gas and Power and BP Singapore, Pakistan LNG\u2019s evaluation report published on Friday shows.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">TotalEnergies Gas and Power submitted the most competitive bid, offering a price of $17.3700\/MMBtu, according to the document.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">BP Singapore offered $17.9688\/MMBtu.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Pakistan LNG did not say whether it will accept the TotalEnergies offer.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Local media reports suggest that the company has accepted the price due to the urgency to meet the country\u2019s power demands.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Before this tender, BP Singapore <a href=\"https:\/\/lngprime.com\/asia\/bp-to-supply-one-spot-lng-cargo-to-pakistan\/190596\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">submitted<\/a> the lowest bid in a tender to supply Pakistan with one spot LNG shipment during June 30-July 4.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">BP Singapore offered a price of $16.7372\/MMBtu.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The BP unit also recently<a href=\"https:\/\/lngprime.com\/asia\/pakistan-seeks-one-spot-lng-cargo\/188475\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">\u00a0submitted<\/a>\u00a0the most competitive bid, offering a price of $19.1337\/MMBtu, for a spot LNG cargo scheduled for June 6-7.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Pakistan gets most of its supplies under long-term contracts from Qatar.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In May, Pakistan<a href=\"https:\/\/lngprime.com\/asia\/pakistan-set-to-get-another-qatari-lng-cargo\/186346\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">\u00a0received three LNG cargoes<\/a>\u00a0from Qatar via the Strait of Hormuz, the first time since the start of the Middle East conflict.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The status of the Strait of Hormuz remains unclear despite the US and Iran agreeing to a framework agreement that includes the full reopening of the Strait.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Italian energy firm Edison, a unit of EDF,<a href=\"https:\/\/lngprime.com\/europe\/edison-qatarenergy-extends-force-majeure-until-early-september\/190665\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">\u00a0said last week <\/a>that\u00a0it had received a new force majeure notification from QatarEnergy, affecting supplies scheduled for delivery at the Adriatic LNG terminal in Italy until early
