The company said the architecture is designed to reduce mechanical losses, improve efficiency, and enhance stability across fluctuating thermal loads.

The chillers also incorporate a spray‑type evaporator and a heat‑exchange system using V‑shaped microchannel coils, which Schneider Electric said improves thermal performance while reducing refrigerant charge and environmental impact. The systems use low‑global‑warming‑potential refrigerants in line with tightening European F‑Gas regulations.

According to Schneider Electric, the XCA line spans six sizes of oil‑free centrifugal chillers ranging from 1,200 kW to 2,500 kW, targeting large‑scale data centre deployments with high and variable cooling demands.

“Energy efficiency, adaptability, and reliability are essential components of liquid cooling systems for AI‑optimized data centres,” Senior Vice President of the cooling business at Schneider Electric, Andrew Bradner, stated. “We’ve designed the Uniflair XCA line with these design features at the forefront.”

He said the system is built to offer scalability and long‑term operational stability as infrastructure complexity increases.

The rapid expansion of AI workloads has intensified scrutiny on data centre cooling systems, which account for a significant share of total facility energy use. Liquid cooling and hybrid architectures are becoming more common as operators attempt to manage higher compute densities.

The company revealed that its new system is designed specifically for these conditions, with a wide operating range that supports elevated water temperatures and extreme ambient environments. The free‑cooling variant can operate in temperatures ranging from -20°C to 52°C, while enabling energy savings of up to 60 per cent in moderate climates compared with mechanical cooling.

The company also highlighted features aimed at mission‑critical resilience, including a quick‑restart function that restores full operation within three minutes of a power outage.

Beyond hardware, Schneider Electric is adding a digital control layer to the system, positioning cooling as a software‑managed process rather than a fixed mechanical function.

The XCA platform includes firmware features such as variable‑speed pump control, adaptive fan modulation, and real‑time energy and water flow monitoring. These are designed to optimise performance dynamically based on load conditions.

Schneider Electric has launched a new cooling platform aimed at one of the fastest‑growing bottlenecks in the artificial…

[13020
1666,31452,31453,1531,31454,17112,31455,13057,11315,21425
post-47095","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","category-schneider-electric","tag-ai","tag-data-center-cooling","tag-data-centre-infrastructure","tag-energy-efficiency","tag-gpu-clusters","tag-liquid-cooling","tag-nigeria-technology","tag-schneider-electric","tag-thermal-management","tag-uniflair-xca
["GET
