{"id":50331,"date":"2026-07-12T19:04:11","date_gmt":"2026-07-12T19:04:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/france\/50331\/"},"modified":"2026-07-12T19:04:11","modified_gmt":"2026-07-12T19:04:11","slug":"military-grade-weapon-found-in-car-near-paris-synagogue-300-evacuated","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/france\/50331\/","title":{"rendered":"Military-grade weapon found in car near Paris synagogue, 300 evacuated"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Around 300 people were evacuated on Saturday from a neighborhood in Sarcelles, north of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.jpost.com\/international\/article-900064\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Paris<\/a>, after a suspicious vehicle containing a military-grade weapon was discovered in the vicinity of a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.jpost.com\/israel-news\/article-901642\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">synagogue<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"article-paragraph-section article-body-paragraph\">On Saturday evening, at around 9:30 p.m., the Anti-Crime Brigade (BAC) and General Directorate for Internal Security (DGSI) were informed of a possible Islamist terrorist attack targeting a synagogue in Sarcelles, potentially involving a Toyota vehicle.<\/p>\n<p class=\"article-paragraph-section article-body-paragraph\">The location of the vehicle was Rue Henri Dunant, and 500 meters from the Great Synagogue, as well as a cinema and several restaurants.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.jpost.com\/diaspora\/antisemitism\/article-874198\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">France\u2019s<\/a> specialized National Anti-Terrorism Prosecutor\u2019s Office (PNAT) confirmed to The Jerusalem Post on Sunday that the vehicle was unoccupied at the time it was discovered by security forces.
