The lounge, open from 05:00 to 22:00, is designed for passengers traveling in La Première, Business, and Flying Blue Elite Plus members, as well as eligible travelers from KLM and airlines belonging to the SkyTeam alliance.

Spanning more than 750 square metres with seating for approximately 150 guests, the facility occupies the space previously used by Malaysia Airlines and offers panoramic views of the runways with abundant natural light. The design, developed by Air France’s teams in collaboration with agency MARKS Brandimage (formerly SGK Brandimage), prominently displays the airline’s iconic logo: the winged seahorse.

The colour palette reflects the company’s corporate tones — blue, bright white, and touches of red — creating an atmosphere that blends elegance with serenity. The furniture was selected by renowned French designers including Margaux Keller, Pierre Paulin, Patrick Jouin, and Christophe Pillet, bringing an authentically Gallic signature to every corner of the lounge.

The culinary offering focuses on traditional French dishes prepared in an open-concept kitchen integrated into the dining area. The restaurant section seats approximately seventy guests, with two-person tables and a large communal table that encourages interaction. The menu changes throughout the day and includes vegetarian options, prioritising local and seasonal produce as part of Air France’s sustainability goals.

The bar is one of the lounge’s standout features. Designed to create a festive and sophisticated atmosphere, it is attended by a bartender and offers an extensive selection of champagne, French wines, and spirits. The facility also includes spa and relaxation areas — presumably in partnership with Clarins, as in other Air France lounges — along with workspaces for passengers who need to stay productive before their flight.

The opening of this VIP lounge reinforces Air France’s presence at a strategic airport where the airline operates up to seven daily flights to Paris-Charles de Gaulle during the winter season, in addition to two daily flights from London-Gatwick to Paris since March 29, 2026. As we anticipated at Aviacionline in December 2025, this project represents Air France’s first own lounge at Heathrow since the closure of its previous facility during the COVID-19 pandemic. From a competitive standpoint, the new lounge — formerly operated by Malaysia Airlines — directly competes with British Airways’ facilities in Terminal 5 and the SkyTeam lounges in Terminal 4, strengthening the alliance’s value proposition in one of the world’s most important markets.

Air France has inaugurated its long-awaited VIP lounge in Terminal 4 at London Heathrow Airport (LHR) during the…

[13058
739,1996,5,31616,7830,608,32996,32997,32995
post-50403","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","category-air-france","tag-air-france","tag-airports","tag-france","tag-heathrow","tag-klm","tag-london","tag-skyteam","tag-the-united-kingdom","tag-vip
["GET
