Paris Jackson is finally letting fans know what she really thinks of the upcoming Michael Jackson biopic.<\/p>\n

The 28-year-old daughter of the late King of Pop took to social media this week to reveal why she hasn’t been attaching herself to the film. In a lengthy video explanation, Paris expresses that while she thinks that the general public will enjoy the film<\/a>, it’s not something she can get behind.\u00a0<\/p>\n

“A big reason why I haven’t said anything up until this point is because I know a lot of you guys are going to be happy with it,” she says, speaking to the camera. “The film panders to a very specific section of my dad’s fandom that still lives in the fantasy. And they’re going to be happy with it.”<\/p>\n

“The thing about these biopics is they’re…it’s Hollywood. It’s Fantasyland, it’s not real. But it’s sold to you as real,” Paris continues.<\/p>\n

She goes on to say that the narrative is “being controlled” and accuses the film of containing “a lot of inaccuracy” and “just full blown lies.”<\/p>\n

“At the end of the day, that doesn’t really fly with me. I don’t really like dishonesty<\/a>,” Jackson explained. “I spoke up, I wasn’t heard, I f***ed off.”<\/p>\n

In a follow-up video, Paris addresses the fact that a lot of fans think she “hates” or “resents” her dad because of her lack of involvement in the movie. In response to those accusations, the 28-year-old insists: “That’s not my truth. That’s not where I’m coming from. I just prefer honesty over sales and monetary gain.”<\/p>\n

These comments from Jackson come after a similar statement from last year, where she called the upcoming biopic from director Antoine Fuqua \u201cdishonest.\u201d<\/p>\n

Back in September, during the Venice Film Festival, Colman Domingo–who plays Joe Jackson–told People that Paris and her younger brother Prince Jackson were “very supportive of the film.\u201d<\/p>\n

Shortly after, Paris responded directly to Domingo\u2019s comments on Instagram, distancing herself from the film, writing, \u201c[Colman], don\u2019t be telling people I was \u2018helpful\u2019 on the set of a movie I had 0% involvement in lol. That is so weird.”<\/p>\n

At the time, the singer and actress explained that she saw an early draft of the film and pointed out the parts that she felt were unconvincing: \u201cI read one of the first drafts of the script and gave my notes about what was dishonest [and] didn\u2019t sit right with me and when they didn\u2019t address it I moved on with my life…Not my monkeys, not my circus.
