{"id":51009,"date":"2026-07-14T05:00:10","date_gmt":"2026-07-14T05:00:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/france\/51009\/"},"modified":"2026-07-14T05:00:10","modified_gmt":"2026-07-14T05:00:10","slug":"a-house-of-dior-will-open-in-milan-in-september","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/france\/51009\/","title":{"rendered":"A House of Dior Will Open in Milan in September"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\t<a href=\"https:\/\/wwd.com\/tag\/milan-2\/\" id=\"auto-tag_milan-2\" data-tag=\"milan-2\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">MILAN<\/a> \u2014 After almost two years, the <a href=\"https:\/\/wwd.com\/runway\/fall-couture-2026\/paris\/christian-dior\/review\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Dior <\/a>boutique on Milan\u2019s Via Montenapoleone will reopen on Sept. 18 with a brand-new look.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tDesigned by American architect <a href=\"https:\/\/wwd.com\/home-design\/architecture\/peter-marino-interview-profile-architect-1236659237\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Peter Marino<\/a>, the three-level store will stand as a House of <a href=\"https:\/\/wwd.com\/footwear-news\/shoe-trends\/charlize-theron-dior-boots-paris-1239060825\/\" id=\"related_article_link_dior\" data-tag=\"dior\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Dior<\/a>, and will include a Monsieur Dior restaurant by Enrico Bartolini, Italy\u2019s most Michelin-starred chef.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tThe boutique first opened in the current stately building in 2001 and was renovated in 2012, almost doubling its size.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tThe tone of the store will be set starting from the windows, where fun animated vignettes crafted from fabric offcuts sourced from Dior\u2019s ateliers will form a landscape inspired by the gardens of <a href=\"https:\/\/wwd.com\/sustainability\/business\/fashion-cities-coalition-global-sustainability-1239061408\/\" id=\"related_article_link_milan-2\" data-tag=\"milan-2\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Milan<\/a>, completed by a menagerie of an owl, a flamingo and squirrels, reflecting the sources of inspiration of couturier Christian Dior. Vertical gardens, terraces and inner courtyards were designed by landscape architect Peter Wirtz.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tInside, the women\u2019s and men\u2019s collections by creative director <a href=\"https:\/\/wwd.com\/pop-culture\/celebrity-news\/taylor-swift-dior-wedding-dress-jonathan-anderson-1239054304\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Jonathan Anderson<\/a> will be displayed around a central glass roof.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tAccessories, shoes, leather goods and men\u2019s ready-to-wear will be available on the ground floor.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tTwo grand staircases will lead to the first floor, home to the women\u2019s collections and men\u2019s made-to-measure, tailoring and formalwear.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tThe boutique will also carry high jewelry creations by Victoire de Castellane, artistic director of\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/wwd.com\/tag\/dior\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Dior<\/a>\u00a0Joaillerie. Fragrances from La Collection Priv\u00e9e, together with a selection of decorative objects for the home, will complete the offering.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tOn the second floor, moldings inspired by Parisian apartments will frame private salons and a beauty room, creating a more intimate atmosphere.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tAs in other Dior stores, artworks will punctuate the space, including a portrait of the late founder by painter and sculptor Michelangelo Pistoletto, one of the main representatives of the Italian Arte Povera, and a painting by Italian contemporary artist Francesco Clemente in the restaurant.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tThis will be the latest House of Dior to be unveiled globally. In May, a House of Dior opened in Osaka, Japan, with a draped facade by Sou Fujimoto, interiors by Marino and a restaurant by Anne-Sophie Pic.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tThe French brand opened two Houses of Dior in the U.S. last year, in New York City and Beverly Hills.
