{"id":51796,"date":"2026-07-15T13:11:10","date_gmt":"2026-07-15T13:11:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/france\/51796\/"},"modified":"2026-07-15T13:11:10","modified_gmt":"2026-07-15T13:11:10","slug":"mbda-to-replace-ceo-with-airbus-executive","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/france\/51796\/","title":{"rendered":"MBDA to replace CEO with Airbus executive"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">MILAN \u2014 The multinational European missile manufacturer <a href=\"https:\/\/breakingdefense.com\/tag\/mbda\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">MBDA <\/a>has announced plans to replace CEO \u00c9ric B\u00e9ranger with an Airbus executive, as part of a major leadership shake-up.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">After seven years at the head of MBDA, B\u00e9ranger will be replaced by Jean-Brice Dumont, the current head of Military Air Systems and Air Power at Airbus Defense and Space. The transition will go into effect Nov. 1. <\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cDumont will continue MBDA\u2019s transformation journey and build on the company\u2019s unique model to meet the challenges ahead,\u201d the company said in a press release.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The European defense giant declined to say where B\u00e9ranger will go next. During his time at MBDA, he oversaw the firm\u2019s major industrial ramp-up. Between 2023 and 2025, missile production doubled, with an additional 40 percent increase in manufacturing planned for this year alone.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The company\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.mbda-systems.com\/mbda-stepping-new-strategic-dimension\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">recorded<\/a>\u00a0\u20ac5.8 billion ($6.62 billion) in revenue last year and an order intake of \u20ac13.2 billion, largely thanks to the completion of major contracts with several European and international partners.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Key deals under B\u00e9ranger included a contract to supply additional Meteor beyond-visual-range air-to-air missiles for the German Armed Forces and a milestone agreement with France for the development of DELUGE, a sovereign long-range system to saturate enemy defenses.
