U. SAUCON TWP. \u2013 A one-ring family spectacle \u2013 “full of thrills, humor and elegance” \u2013 is set to dazzle audience members beginning Thursday in Lehigh County.<\/p>\n
Cirque de Paris, an immersive big top experience presented by Anouchka Bouglione, will wow audiences during a stop at Promenade Saucon Valley in Upper Saucon Township, July 23-Aug. 2, according to a news release.<\/p>\n
The 90-minute show will be presented in the parking lot behind Capital Blue Cross.<\/p>\n
Hailing from the circus-rich traditions of France, this one-ring family spectacle boasts an international all-star cast of artists.<\/p>\n
The extravaganza includes BMX trick riders, dexterous jugglers, high-flying aerialists, nimble acrobats, comedic clowns, and more!<\/p>\n
“Cirque de Paris is a must-see for audiences of all ages, including an interactive pre-show and intermission filled with lively activities and delicious goodies for the entire family to enjoy,” reads a message on the show\u2019s website.<\/p>\n
The Bouglione family of France is known for its illustrious circus legacy.<\/p>\n
In 1934, Anouchka Bouglione\u2019s great-grandfather, Joseph Bouglione, and his brothers, Alexandre, Sampion, and Firmin \u2013 collectively known as the \u201cFour Brothers Bouglione\u201d \u2013 became the proud owners of the iconic Cirque D\u2019Hiver in Paris, according to a historical account on Cirque de Paris’ website.<\/p>\n
The family\u2019s fame reached new heights in 1955, when Hollywood chose their venue to film the classic movie \u201cTrapeze,\u201d starring Tony Curtis, Gina Lollobrigida, and Burt Lancaster.<\/p>\n
