{"id":56311,"date":"2026-07-24T10:52:08","date_gmt":"2026-07-24T10:52:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/france\/56311\/"},"modified":"2026-07-24T10:52:08","modified_gmt":"2026-07-24T10:52:08","slug":"valentino-maison-margiela-return-to-provisional-paris-fashion-week-schedule","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/france\/56311\/","title":{"rendered":"Valentino, Maison Margiela Return to Provisional Paris Fashion Week Schedule"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tPARIS \u2013 Fashion Month is a marathon, not a sprint, so the pace will be heady when <a href=\"https:\/\/wwd.com\/tag\/paris-fashion-week\/\" id=\"auto-tag_paris-fashion-week\" data-tag=\"paris-fashion-week\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Paris Fashion Week<\/a> kicks off on Sep. 28.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tThe spring 2027 season, scheduled to run until Oct. 6, will feature 68 shows and a total of 101 events over nine days, according to the provisional schedule released Friday by the <a href=\"https:\/\/wwd.com\/tag\/federation-haute-couture-mode\/\" id=\"auto-tag_federation-haute-couture-mode\" data-tag=\"federation-haute-couture-mode\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">F\u00e9d\u00e9ration de la Haute Couture et de la Mode<\/a>, or FHCM, French fashion\u2019s governing body.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tStill settling into a <a href=\"https:\/\/wwd.com\/fashion-news\/fashion-features\/paris-fashion-week-spring-2026-ready-to-wear-schedule-1237994247\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">new configuration<\/a> following the great creative reset of 2025, the season in Paris will kick off with the 2:30 p.m. show of Julie Kegels on Sep. 28 and conclude with Louis Vuitton\u2019s 6:30 p.m. show on Oct. 6.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tAmong changes are Miu Miu opting for a Sunday outing, while Chanel will be sticking to the Monday evening slot it has occupied since Matthieu Blazy\u2019s first collection.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tBack in the City of Light this season are <a href=\"https:\/\/wwd.com\/tag\/maison-margiela\/\" id=\"auto-tag_maison-margiela\" data-tag=\"maison-margiela\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Maison Margiela<\/a> on Sept. 29, after opting for Shanghai last season, and <a href=\"https:\/\/wwd.com\/tag\/valentino-2\/\" id=\"auto-tag_valentino-2\" data-tag=\"valentino-2\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Valentino<\/a>, which exceptionally showed its fall 2026 collection in Rome.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tBrands returning to the calendar with a spring show also include\u00a0Sacai, which skipped last season as Chitose Abe explored new options to show her work, as well as Casablanca, Ester Manas and Christopher Esber.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tSitting out the season are Rabanne, which will show the first collection of freshly named creative director Olivier Rousteing in March; Nina Ricci, following the <a href=\"https:\/\/wwd.com\/fashion-news\/designer-luxury\/harris-reed-steps-down-creative-director-nina-ricci-1238663756\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">departure of Harris Reed<\/a>; and Off-White, which is planning an important brand moment during Milan Fashion Week, a spokesperson told WWD on Friday.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tAlso not on the spring 2027 calendar is Giambattista Valli, who is taking back control of his house following an agreement to buy back full ownership from Art\u00e9mis, the private investment arm of the billionaire Pinault family.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tMeanwhile, Thom Browne has chosen to show at home in New York City, as has <a href=\"https:\/\/wwd.com\/fashion-news\/designer-luxury\/london-fashion-week-schedule-mcqueen-mulberry-hm-1239073317\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">McQueen<\/a>, whose creative director Se\u00e1n McGirr will present his spring 2027 men\u2019s and women\u2019s collection in a coed runway showcase on Sept. 20 during London Fashion Week.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tThe opening day in Paris will see the runway debut of Maxhosa Africa, which had been staging Paris presentations since February 2024, and conclude at 7 p.m. with Mati\u00e8res F\u00e9cales, which made waves by dressing Zendaya for the premiere of \u201cThe Odyssey\u201d in New York, and model Gabbriette Bechtel for her wedding to Matty Healy.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tAnchoring the second day, which kicks off with Manas\u2019 10a.m. return, are Dior in its traditional 2:30 p.m. spot, Margiela at 5:30 p.m. and Saint Laurent, stepping into the night with a 9 p.m. timing.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tDrew Henry will be making <a href=\"https:\/\/wwd.com\/fashion-news\/designer-luxury\/courreges-artistic-director-drew-henry-1238692879\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">his Courr\u00e8ges debut<\/a> at 10:30 a.m. on Sept. 30, a heady day that also features The Row, Balmain, Dries Van Noten, Stella McCartney, Vaquera, Acne Studios and Tom Ford.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tHighlights of Oct. 1 will include Chlo\u00e9, Balenciaga, Rick Owens and Schiaparelli, while Casablanca joins the Friday lineup of Loewe, Issey Miyake, Givenchy, Yohji Yamamoto and Stella McCartney with its 2:30 p.m. show.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tOn Saturday, the trifecta of Junya Watanabe, Noir Kei Ninomiya and Comme des Gar\u00e7ons take their customary morning and late afternoon timings, while Celine and Herm\u00e8s will take the 12 p.m. and 3 p.m. timeslots respectively.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tThere will be no time for a lazy brunch on Sunday, which will kick off with Lacoste, continue with Miu Miu at 1 p.m. and <a href=\"https:\/\/wwd.com\/business-news\/human-resources\/la-perla-appoints-alessio-vannetti-ceo-1239065534\/\" id=\"related_article_link_valentino-2\" data-tag=\"valentino-2\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Valentino<\/a> at 3:30 p.m. Forget about cocktail hour too, as Mugler takes the 6:30 p.m. spot and Jean Paul Gaultier goes for 8 p.m.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tOct. 5 will be bookended by Sacai at 10 a.m. and Chanel in its new customary 8 p.m. time.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tLouis Vuitton will close <a href=\"https:\/\/wwd.com\/eye\/people\/jennifer-lopez-zuhair-murad-fall-2026-front-row-1239059558\/\" id=\"related_article_link_paris-fashion-week\" data-tag=\"paris-fashion-week\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Paris Fashion Week<\/a> on Tuesday at 6:30 p.m., a day that sees a slew of independents such as Esber, CFCL and Pierre Cardin also on the runway.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tOn the presentation side, newcomers are French TV personality and knitwear designer Alexandra Golovanoff with her eponymous cashmere line; and Paris-based womenswear label Fidan Novruzova, who reached the semi-finals of the 2024 LVMH Prize for Young Designers and was a finalist of this year\u2019s ANDAM Awards.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tBack on the calendar with presentations are Leonard, which has not yet announced a creative director following the departure of Georg Lux in December;
