The aircraft had reached a cruising altitude of 29,000 feet when the flight crew encountered an issue approximately 30 minutes into the flight.<\/p>\n<p>Flight Timeline11:40 CEST \u2014 Flight BR88 departs Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport bound for Taipei.12:10 CEST \u2014 Reaching 29,000 feet, the flight crew transmits transponder code Squawk 7700\u2014the standard aviation signal indicating a general emergency\u2014and initiates a 180-degree U-turn.13:15 CEST \u2014 The Boeing 777-300ER lands safely back on the runway at Paris CDG without incident.15:15 CEST \u2014 Following an inspection and turnaround, the aircraft departs Paris for the second time, resuming its route toward Taiwan.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The prompt squawk code notification allowed air traffic control to clear airspace and prioritize the widebody airliner\u2019s immediate descent and approach into Charles de Gaulle.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Following roughly two hours on the ground at CDG for technical evaluation and checks, the aircraft was cleared for departure.
