The longtime UFC lightweight will square off against the former
\ntwo-division
\nKSW<\/a> champion in the
\nUFC Paris<\/a> main event on Sept. 5 at Accor Arena. While the
\nFrench standout looks to announce himself on the sport’s biggest
\nstage, Hooker plans to silence the home crowd.<\/p>\n

\nHooker has revealed that the bout announcement was quickly followed
\nby a barrage of hostile messages from Parnasse’s supporters,
\nincluding death threats.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe death threats have been outrageous,\u201d Hooker told Submission
\nRadio. \u201cI didn\u2019t get it when I fought [Benoit St.
\nDenis<\/a>]. French people have been speaking French and telling me
\nI\u2019m going to die and telling me they\u2019re going to kill me\u2026 Whoever
\nthis c*nt\u2019s fans are, they\u2019re outrageous. It\u2019s going to feel pretty
\nsweet to shut this kid\u2019s lights out and making these guys eat their
\nwords.\u201d<\/p>\n

The Kiwi added that he\u2019s excited at the opportunity to upset the
\nFrench crowd by derailing Parnasse’s hype train.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m here to ruin hopes and dreams,\u201d Hooker said. \u201cThis kid wants
\nto come in, make a name for himself, crack the Top 10; he wants to
\nbe a superstar. Well, I\u2019m going to fly to France, and I\u2019m going to
\nf*ck everyone\u2019s night up. That is my plan.\u201d<\/p>\n

Parnasse (23-2) previously turned down the UFC and fought on the
\nfirst-ever MMA event on Netflix under the
\nMost Valuable Promotions<\/a> banner. The UFC then returned with a
\nfar better offer, hence the main event slot and ranked opponent in
