\n\tMonica Barbaro<\/a> gave Dior<\/a>\u2018s Old Hollywood aesthetic a pared-back variation for the \u201cOne Night Only\u201d premiere at New York City\u2019s SVA Theatre on Monday night.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe Oscar-nominated \u201cA Complete Unknown\u201d actress<\/a> turned to the French luxury fashion house\u2019s 2027 cruise collection<\/a> for her premiere look, wearing a dress designed by Dior<\/a> creative director Jonathan Anderson<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe silky cream dress was crafted with a formfitting silhouette, thin straps and slight draping at the neckline for a cowl-neck effect. At the shoulder, a bold off-white floral appliqu\u00e9 with cascading soft blue petals gave the minimalist luxury dress its statement detail. <\/p>\n

\n\tAs for accessories, Barbaro sported a platinum marquise and round diamond ring courtesy of Saidian Vintage jewelry. The actress\u2019 look was curated by stylist Elizabeth Saltzman.<\/p>\n

\n\tBarbaro\u2019s dress was based on Look 33 from a collection that paid homage to Old Hollywood and gave the design codes of the time period an added dose of fantasy. The collection was \u201ca love letter to Hollywood and the power of dreams and illusion,\u201d Ryma Chikhoune wrote in WWD\u2019s review of the collection.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cOld Hollywood echoed throughout the collection and the set, where vintage Cadillacs appeared alongside flashes of shimmer from new versions of the Saddle bag, heels embellished with flowers or feathers, sparkling sunglasses and sequined details,\u201d Chikhoune wrote.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cThe influence traced back to Christian Dior\u2019s own relationship with cinema in the 1950s, when the couturier dressed stars including Ava Gardner, Marilyn Monroe and Marlene Dietrich.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tBarbaro has a close relationship with Dior. Following her breakout turn in \u201cA Complete Unknown,\u201d the actress was named an ambassador to the French luxury fashion house, representing the women\u2019s fashion collections. <\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cSince I was a kid, I was inspired by fashion and its evolution as an art form. Dior has held an iconic place in my imagination. I am so honored to be joining a house that is the gold standard in elegance, craftsmanship and celebration of the feminine,\u201d Barbaro said following her February 2025 appointment.<\/p>\n

\n\tBarbaro stars alongside Callum Turner in \u201cOne Night Only,\u201d which follows New Yorkers Owen and Allie on the one night of the year when sex is legal.
