But it will also signal a shift towards the bottom end of the market, as the likes of Citro\u00ebn, Dacia and Peugeot all aim to address how they can convince the majority of buyers to make the switch away from petrol.<\/p>\n<p>The revival of the Citro\u00ebn 2CV will snatch a great many headlines, but there will also be fresh details on the next-generation Alpine A110 sports car, a replacement for the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.autocar.co.uk\/car-review\/smart\/fortwo\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Smart Fortwo<\/a> city car, and much more besides.<\/p>\n<p>Here\u2019s what to look out for at the Paris motor show\u2026<\/p>\n<p>Alpine A110<\/p>\n<p>Much ink has already been spilled about the next-generation A110, but more is to come from Paris, where the brand says it will reveal \u201cnew elements\u201d of the electric sports car.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.autocar.co.uk\/car-news\/electric-cars\/electric-alpine-a110-make-first-outing-goodwood-fos\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Everything we know about the next-gen Alpine A110<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Audi A2<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"Audi A2 E-tron in camo\" class=\"lazyload\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/france\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/08\/audi-a2-prototype-drive-2026-017_0.jpg\"\/><\/p>\n<p>Audi has yet to officially confirm the A2 will appear at Paris, but it has pointed to a debut for it this autumn\u00a0and is confirmed as an exhibitor. That suggests the new EV \u2013 an upmarket sibling to the Volkswagen ID 3 styled to look like the original A2 \u2013 will be present.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.autocar.co.uk\/car-news\/new-cars\/reborn-audi-a2-driven-electric-comeback-efficiency-king\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Read our review of the reborn Audi A2<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Citro\u00ebn 2CV<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"Autocar render of new Citroen 2CV\" class=\"lazyload\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/france\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/08\/citroen_2cv_render_2026-teaser.jpg\"\/><\/p>\n<p>Football didn\u2019t come home, but Citro\u00ebn is: the revival of the legendary Tin Snail will be shown to the world for the first time at Paris.<\/p>\n<p>Citro\u00ebn CEO Xavier Chardon has said the new car will have \u201cexactly the same purpose as the 2CV did in the late 1940s\u201d in offering affordable transport for the masses, but for the electric era.<\/p>\n<p>The show car will be a concept, but it is expected to closely preview the finished model that is due on sale in 2028.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.autocar.co.uk\/car-news\/electric-cars\/official-citroen-confirms-2cv-name-and-styling-%C2%A315k-city-car\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Everything we know about the new Citro\u00ebn 2CV<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Dacia\u00a0Spring Mk2<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"Dacia Spring Mk2 in camo\" class=\"lazyload\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/france\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/08\/dacia-city-ev-camo-1_0.jpg\"\/><\/p>\n<p>The Dacia Spring has established a niche for itself in Europe as an affordable second car for the school run, trips to the shops and other mundanities. But this second-generation car, which we expect\u00a0to be revealed at the Paris show, will prove a big step up from the current model.<\/p>\n<p>It will make the switch from its Indian city car platform to the one that underpins the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.autocar.co.uk\/car-review\/renault\/twingo\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Renault Twingo<\/a>, while also gaining styling much more in keeping with\u00a0Dacia\u2019s current look.
