{"id":64013,"date":"2026-08-12T00:36:18","date_gmt":"2026-08-12T00:36:18","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/france\/64013\/"},"modified":"2026-08-12T00:36:18","modified_gmt":"2026-08-12T00:36:18","slug":"beyonce-buys-full-control-of-her-whisky-brand-sirdavis-from-lvmh","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/france\/64013\/","title":{"rendered":"Beyonc\u00e9 buys full control of her whisky brand SirDavis from LVMH"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"author-section byline-plain\">By DAILY MAIL CITY &amp; FINANCE <\/p>\n<p class=\"byline-section\"> Updated:  14:28 BST, 10 August 2026   <\/p>\n<p class=\"mol-para-with-font\">Beyonc\u00e9 has taken full control of her whisky brand SirDavis after French luxury goods group LVMH sold its stake to the popstar.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mol-para-with-font\">SirDavis whisky, named after Beyonc\u00e9&#8217;s great-grandfather Davis Hogue, a moonshiner during Prohibition, was launched as a joint venture with LVMH&#8217;s wine and spirits division in 2024.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mol-para-with-font\">LVMH confirmed today it had sold its stake in SirDavis but declined to provide any further details.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mol-para-with-font\">SirDavis was developed by Dr Bill Lumsden, director of whisky creation at Glenmorangie and Ardbeg, working alongside SirDavis&#8217;s head blender and Beyonc\u00e9 herself. The firm also bought Ryan Reynolds&#8217; Aviation American Gin three years later.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mol-para-with-font\">LVMH&#8217;s drinks business, Mo\u00ebt Hennessy, has staged a tentative recovery this year, with sales of champagne showing &#8216;encouraging signs&#8217; after two years in which it has faced slowing demand.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mol-para-with-font\">The French group said cognac had also shown signs of improvement with the launch of its Hennessy ready-to-serve cocktail range.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mol-para-with-font\">Organic revenue in the division rose 5 per cent during the first six months of the year.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mol-para-with-font\">Elsewhere, the company run by billionaire Bernard Arnault said there had been a\u00a0<a style=\"font-weight: bold;\" target=\"_self\" class=\"\" href=\"https:\/\/www.thisismoney.co.uk\/money\/markets\/article-16008879\/LVMH-fashion-sales-U-S-surge-Iran-war-hits-spending-Europe.html\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">&#8216;rapid acceleration&#8217; in demand<\/a> for its expensive clothes and handbags in the US.
