For its 11th edition, the Montferrat air show (in the Is\u00e8re department)\u2014also known as the C\u00e9lestin Adolphe P\u00e9goud Air Festival\u2014offers a variety of activities both on the ground and in the air that are sure to delight spectators.<\/p>\n
While this air show may not be among the best-known summer air shows, its longevity is beginning to establish it as a major event. For this 11th edition, the organizers have planned ground activities, including flight simulators, helicopter introductory flights, ground displays (Bl\u00e9riot XI, gliders, etc.), motorcycle exhibits, taxis from the Battle of the Marne (in 1914), a podium bus from the French Air and Space Force, lectures, and, of course, a ceremony honoring C\u00e9lestin Adolphe P\u00e9goud (who made the first parachute jump from an airplane, the first \u201chead-over-heels\u201d flight in the early 1910s, and was killed in action in 1915 during World War I, having earned the title of flying ace). In addition, there will be a booth dedicated to military medal recipients, another featuring comic books, one showcasing the event\u2019s sponsors, and a flea market.<\/p>\n
In the air, aircraft such as the Stearman, the Air and Space Force\u2019s Mustang X-Ray, the OC-10 Bronco, and the T-6G Texan\u2014among others\u2014will be on display. In short, everything you need for a wonderful time with family or friends.<\/p>\n
