Stellantis has recalled nearly one million cars, trucks, minivans, and SUVs across all four of its American brands because of an issue affecting the rearview cameras.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The automaker explained the recall stems from an issue with the radio software that blocks the rearview camera from appearing on the media screen.<\/p>\n
By the numbers:<\/p>\n
The problem affects 848,511 vehicles in the United States, as well as more than 100,000 in other countries, with the vast majority of those being sold in Canada.<\/p>\n
The vehicles included in the recall are:<\/p>\n
2026-27 Chrysler Pacifica, Pacifica Plug-in Hybrid and Voyager minivans2026-27 Dodge Charger vehicles2026 Jeep Cherokee, Compass, Gladiator, Grand Cherokee, Grand Cherokee L, Grand Wagoneer, Grand Wagoneer L and Wrangler vehicles2026 Ram 1500 and 2500 pickups and ProMaster and ProMaster EV vans <\/p>\n
RELATED:\u00a0Toyota recalls over 500K vehicles due to instrument panel issues<\/a><\/p>\n What you can do:<\/p>\n For now, Stellantis advises people to use their mirrors and be aware of their surroundings if the camera\u2019s rear view does not appear on the screen.<\/p>\n The company expects to be able to remedy the issue through an over-the-air update, which will mean that owners will not need to bring their vehicles to the dealership for the fix. Drivers are advised to be on the lookout for a prompt that an update is available.\u00a0<\/p>\n RELATED:\u00a0Tesla recalls over 20K vehicles due to too-bright headlights<\/a><\/p>\n No injuries or crashes have been reported in connection with the issue, Stellantis indicated.<\/p>\n Affected drivers will receive a recall notice about the issue starting in September. If they have any questions, drivers are advised to contact customer care at 1-800-853-1403.
