Breakfast at Tiffany\u2019s, anyone? How \u2018bout lunch, dinner, and afternoon tea, too? Tiffany & Co<\/a>\u2019s famous Blue Box Cafe has just opened in Singapore in all its signature blue splendour \u2013 and it\u2019s the very first one in Southeast Asia.\u00a0<\/p>\n

This opening comes in conjunction with the refreshed version of Tiffany & Co\u2019s Ion Orchard boutique, now newly expanded as a triplex boutique<\/a>. The first and second floors feature Tiffany\u2019s exquisite fine and high jewellery, a private VIP room, and even a gallery dedicated to French jewellery designer Jean Schlumberger \u2013 while the cafe occupies the top floor.<\/p>\n

Is this new dining spot Tiffany\u2019s attempt at jumping onto the fashion cafe<\/a> bandwagon? Well, not quite. Rather than simply hopping on board a certain trend, Tiffany & Co sees this move as simply an extension of its brand presence. While the iconic Blue Box Cafe first opened in New York almost a decade ago in 2017, it made its Asian debut in Hong Kong in 2019, and later on opened in Tokyo in 2025. It only makes sense that Singapore was next, and about time, too.<\/p>\n

REVIEW OF TIFFANY & CO\u2019S BLUE BOX CAFE IN SINGAPORE\"Tiffany<\/p>\n

While each Blue Box Cafe sports the same playful polka dotted flooring, blue and white striped chairs, and, of course, Tiffany\u2019s iconic blue jewellery boxes dangling from the ceiling, every branch has its own special touches that pay homage to its respective city. Singapore\u2019s has gold metal discs decorated with blue flowers across its walls \u2013 a nostalgic touch that seemingly references the traditional Chinese porcelain rice bowls that many of us grew up with.<\/p>\n

Another element that sets each Blue Box Cafe apart from the next is the big-name chef at the helm. Best known for being the owner of three-Michelin-starred Fresh restaurant Odette, as well as Claudine and La Terrace at Dempsey, chef Julien Royer is the culinary genius responsible for the menu of this Singapore outpost \u2013 so we already had high hopes before we stepped in for our afternoon tea session.<\/p>\n

As someone with a chronic sweet tooth, I\u2019ve had multiple rounds of afternoon teas in various restaurants and lounges over the years \u2013 and in my experience, they are often a mixed bag of hits and misses, with some of the sweet items in particular compromising taste and dimension for aesthetic.<\/p>\n

But the TDLR of Tea at Tiffany\u2019s ($98 per person)? You\u2019ll certainly get what you\u2019re paying for. Though deceptively dainty looking, the afternoon tea set served on a silver three-tiered tray is a substantial stack of five savoury items and eight sweets, and you\u2019re definitely going to want to skip lunch beforehand.<\/p>\n

After starting on the crispy potato millefeuille topped with caviar, aged comte gougeres (choux pastry), and wagyu cecina roll with black truffle, it was already quite apparent to us that there was much thought and care put into the crafting of this high tea menu, with its many layers of flavours all well-balanced. The sweet items did not disappoint either, with the lavender madeleine, chestnut cheesecake, and local-inspired pandan chouquette being some of our favourites. Overall, we\u2019d say that every new bite brought about a pleasant surprise of distinctly unique flavour combinations.<\/p>\n

To top it off, diners who come for Tea at Tiffany\u2019s get their pick of a free-flow beverage, across a range of tea, coffee from PPP, or soft drinks. We took this chance to try Blue Box Cafe\u2019s original tea blend, a floral black tea with fragrant notes of rose, lavender, and vanilla. Other interesting options include the green-based limoncello tea with citrus peel, calendula, and ginger; and the white-based riesling tea that includes a refreshing blend of lemongrass, lemon myrtle, and jasmine.<\/p>\n

With this pleasant introduction to Blue Box Cafe, we\u2019re now extra curious to try the Breakfast at Tiffany\u2019s menu ($78 per person) \u2013 which includes caviar-topped eggs and petuna trout, among other delights \u2013 as well as the a la carte selection, which offers options such as lobster salad ($48); the signature Black Angus Tiffany burger ($34); and wild mushroom ravioli ($48). Whichever meal experience you\u2019re here for, it\u2019s one worth dressing up with the girlies for \u2013 and it certainly wouldn\u2019t hurt to take a peek at the connected jewellery boutique<\/a> downstairs while you\u2019re at it.<\/p>\n

Tip: Need the bathroom? Don\u2019t head out to use one of the common mall toilets. Blue Box Cafe has its own in-store lavatory, and it\u2019s a gorgeous turquoise masterpiece of monochromatic mosaic tiles and marbled surfaces.<\/p>\n

Singapore\u2019s Blue Box Cafe is located at #03-11 and #03-12 of Ion Orchard, on the third floor of the Tiffany & Co triplex boutique, and is open daily from 10am to 10pm.
