Today, Vanity Fair unveiled their 2026 style issue with a cover featuring American designer and icon Marc Jacobs as seen through the eyes of painter Anna Weyant. The issue explores how the business of fashion operates in culture and media today, and the personalities fueling it, and includes an extensive interview with Jacobs \u2014 the first since LVMH announced the sale of his namesake brand to WHP Global and G-III Apparel Group earlier this year.<\/p>\n

\u201cLet\u2019s be honest about what this is,\u201d Jacobs says. His runway collections have \u201cnever been commercially successful. We don\u2019t make money on runway. And I doubt anybody really does.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cI remember the Grindr thing was such a big deal,\u201d he says now, laughing. \u201cI\u2019m like, Yes, I\u2019m a gay designer who likes to have sex. What can I tell you?\u201d<\/p>\n
