{"id":67281,"date":"2026-08-19T20:11:11","date_gmt":"2026-08-19T20:11:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/france\/67281\/"},"modified":"2026-08-19T20:11:11","modified_gmt":"2026-08-19T20:11:11","slug":"tuf-34s-delphine-benouaich-booked-for-ufc-paris-opposite-sofia-montenegro","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/france\/67281\/","title":{"rendered":"TUF 34&#8217;s Delphine Benouaich Booked for UFC Paris Opposite Sofia Montenegro"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"696\" height=\"464\" class=\"entry-thumb webpexpress-processed\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/france\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/08\/DelphineB-696x464.jpg\"   alt=\"Delphine Benouaich, TUF 34\" title=\"DelphineB\"\/>Delphine Benouaich, TUF 34 Credit: Paramount+\/UFC<\/p>\n<p>Fresh off one of the best fights on the season on The Ultimate Fighter 34, Delphine Benouaich (7-2) has signed with the UFC, and will make her debut at UFC Paris this September.<\/p>\n<p>The TUF 34 semifinalist, who lost to Tina Black on the show, will now face Sofia Montenegro (6-2) in Paris, France on September 5, 2026.<\/p>\n<p>Benouaich herself announced her signing, and the match-up, on social media on Wednesday <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/stories\/benphine\/3967241743236160433\/\" data-wpel-link=\"external\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"external noopener noreferrer nofollow\">as part of her Instagram story<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Montenegro is a veteran of Dana White\u2019s Contender Series, and won a UFC contract on the show despite losing a split decision against <a class=\"border-b border-dotted border-tap_6 hover:border-solid\" title=\"Jeisla Chaves Fighter Page\" href=\"https:\/\/www.tapology.com\/fightcenter\/fighters\/393177-jeisla-santos\" data-wpel-link=\"external\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"external noopener noreferrer nofollow\">Jeisla Chaves<\/a>. The Argentinian known as \u201cLa Bruja\u201d had won three straight in MMA prior to that, while also competing in Muay Thai.<\/p>\n<p>As for Benouaich, she beat Mackenzie Stiller on the show before running into Tina Black in a fight that\u2019s in the running for the best of the season, and almost certainly best among the strawweights on the show. Despite being dejected after the loss, coaches Daniel Cormier and Michael Chiesa both assured Benouaich that she\u2019d get an opportunity with the UFC.<\/p>\n<p>Turns out the were right on the money.<\/p>\n<p>UFC Paris takes place at the Accor Arena in Paris, France with newcomer Salahdine Parnasse, a former KSW double-champ, headlining against Dan \u201cThe Hangman\u201d Hooker in lightweight action.
