{"id":67690,"date":"2026-08-20T17:29:13","date_gmt":"2026-08-20T17:29:13","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/france\/67690\/"},"modified":"2026-08-20T17:29:13","modified_gmt":"2026-08-20T17:29:13","slug":"thales-systematic-join-forces-to-modernize-denmarks-air-defense-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/france\/67690\/","title":{"rendered":"Thales, Systematic Join Forces to Modernize Denmark\u2019s Air Defense"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Thales and Systematic have <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thalesgroup.com\/en\/news-centre\/press-releases\/thales-and-systematic-partner-strengthen-denmarks-air-defence\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">formed<\/a> a strategic partnership to develop integrated air defense capabilities for the Danish Armed Forces.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The collaboration combines Systematic\u2019s command-and-control software with Thales\u2019 air defense technologies, including the <a href=\"https:\/\/thedefensepost.com\/2026\/07\/14\/samp-t-air-defense-guide\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">SAMP\/T NG missile defense system<\/a>, to support Denmark\u2019s modernization of its air and surface-based air missile defense architecture.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Rather than developing a new weapon system, the deal focuses on improving how different air defense assets communicate and operate together. The companies said the goal is to deliver interoperable capabilities that can integrate with Denmark\u2019s existing defense architecture and NATO operations.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The alliance will also support the Danish Acquisition and Logistics Organisation, which oversees defense procurement, while strengthening Denmark\u2019s domestic defense industry through local industrial participation and potential export opportunities.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cThis partnership is an important step to strengthen Denmark\u2019s air defense capabilities with trusted European technology, while building on the strong industrial capabilities we have developed here in Denmark,\u201d Systematic vice president for business development Klaus Qvist said.<\/p>\n<p> Denmark Expands Defense Partnerships <\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Thales-Systematic agreement follows a series of partnerships aimed at strengthening Denmark\u2019s defense capabilities and industrial base.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In May, Australia\u2019s DroneShield and Denmark\u2019s Terma signed an agreement to <a href=\"https:\/\/thedefensepost.com\/2026\/05\/05\/droneshield-terma-counter-drone-solutions\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">develop interoperable counter-drone capabilities<\/a>, creating a framework for joint testing and future deployment.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In March, Spain\u2019s Navantia proposed a long-term partnership to <a href=\"https:\/\/thedefensepost.com\/2026\/03\/03\/navantia-spain-denmark-cooperation\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">support Denmark\u2019s next generation of naval programs<\/a>, offering local industrial participation, training, and lifecycle support with deliveries beginning in 2030.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This follows a December 2025 agreement <a href=\"https:\/\/thedefensepost.com\/2025\/12\/01\/heckler-rheinmetall-weapons-europe\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">between Heckler &amp; Koch and Rheinmetall Nordic<\/a> to jointly deliver integrated small arms, fire control, and weapon accessory solutions for European military and law enforcement customers.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Thales and Systematic have formed a strategic partnership to develop integrated air defense capabilities for the Danish Armed&hellip;\n","protected":false},"author":2,"featured_media":67540,"comment_status":"","ping_status":"","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"footnotes":""},"categories":[13059],"tags":[41765,1529,5719],"class_list":["post-67690","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","category-thales","tag-air-and-missile-defense-system","tag-denmark","tag-thales"],"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/france\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts\/67690","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/france\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/france\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/post"}],"author":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/france\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/users\/2"}],"replies":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/france\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/comments?post=67690"}],"version-history":[{"count":0,"href":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/france\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts\/67690\/revisions"}],"wp:featuredmedia":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/france\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media\/67540"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/france\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=67690"}],"wp:term":[{"taxonomy":"category","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/france\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/categories?post=67690"},{"taxonomy":"post_tag","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/france\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/tags?post=67690"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
