Louis Vuitton just released a limited-edition\u00a0makeup collection\u00a0fit for the transformative period between late summer and early fall.<\/p>\n
Called Monogram Dune and Monogram\u00a0Infrarouge, the dual ranges\u00a0encompass\u00a0light, warm tones\u00a0(in the former) and\u00a0dark, edgy hues\u00a0(in the latter).\u00a0It\u00a0comes courtesy of the Maison\u2019s esteemed artistic director, Nicolas Ghesqui\u00e8re, and its creative director of cosmetics, makeup legend Dame Pat McGrath DBE.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n
The duo\u2019s teaming up within Louis Vuitton was imminent.\u00a0In\u00a0addition\u00a0to their roles at\u00a0the French fashion house,\u00a0Ghesqui\u00e8re and McGrath have been building looks together backstage for years.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n
\u201cThere is a shorthand between us:\u00a0a trust\u00a0and\u00a0a creative\u00a0cohesion,\u201d McGrath said. \u201cWhat we have created with this collection for La\u00a0Beaut\u00e9\u00a0is the natural next step of that conversation. The products did not begin with a brief \u2014 they began with a feeling, the same feeling we always create together backstage before a show. That is what makes it so extraordinary. It is not a collaboration in the traditional sense. It is an evolution of our partnership.\u201d\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

Added Ghesqui\u00e8re, \u201cBeauty has always been complementary to how I conceive a silhouette \u2013 it completes the character, the attitude, the emotion of a look. With La Beaut\u00e9 Louis Vuitton, we are extending that vision beyond the runway. It\u2019s a way of allowing the Louis Vuitton woman to carry that expression into her everyday life.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n
And with the opposing colorway options, that expression can be playful and feminine one day, while moody the next. Monogram Dune\u00a0comes inspired by the desert landscape\u2019s ever-shifting nature, illuminating a brand-monogrammed\u00a0eyeshadow\u00a0compact with\u00a0sandy tones. Meanwhile, the Monogram\u00a0Infrarouge\u00a0stuns with\u00a0cooler neutrals and a sultry burgundy\u00a0in\u00a0a\u00a0bold black and red compact.\u00a0Satin lipsticks and topper lip balms complete the collection.\u00a0<\/p>\n
