Airline route maps keep expanding, with new nonstop and seasonal service opening more direct paths between U.S. cities and destinations across Europe, the Caribbean and beyond.<\/p>\n
Alaska Airlines, Seattle to Athens and Paris<\/p>\n
Alaska Airlines will begin nonstop service between Seattle and both Athens and Paris next spring, adding two new stops to its growing lineup of international routes<\/a> out of the Pacific Northwest.<\/p>\n Tickets for Athens International Airport and Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport are already on sale. Introductory round-trip Main Cabin fares start at $999 and are available for purchase in the U.S. through Aug. 26.<\/p>\n The Seattle-Athens service, flight AS196, begins May 12, 2027 and operates three times a week. It will be Alaska\u2019s longest route and the West Coast\u2019s only nonstop option to Athens. Seattle-Paris service, flight AS136, begins May 25, 2027, with nonstop flights five times a week through the fall.<\/p>\n Both routes will fly on Alaska\u2019s Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner, featuring lie-flat Suites in international business class with multi-course dining and amenities from West Coast brands Filson and Salt & Stone. Atmos Rewards members will have access to complimentary Starlink Wi-Fi as the technology rolls out across the Alaska and Hawaiian fleets through 2027. The expanded network also allows same-day connections between Honolulu and Paris through Seattle.<\/p>\n Athens and Paris join Alaska\u2019s existing intercontinental routes from Seattle to Iceland, London, Rome, Seoul and Tokyo. The airline has said it plans to add at least five more intercontinental destinations by 2030.<\/p>\n For more information, visit alaskaair.com<\/a>.<\/p>\n Delta Air Lines: Austin to Paris<\/p>\n Delta Air Lines<\/a> will launch Austin\u2019s first nonstop service to Europe on March 27, 2027, connecting Austin-Bergstrom International Airport (AUS) to Paris-Charles de Gaulle (CDG). The route makes Delta the only U.S. airline offering nonstop service between Austin and Europe.<\/p>\n Flights will operate daily during the summer season on Delta\u2019s Airbus A330-900neo, which features four cabin classes: Delta One, Delta Premium Select, Delta Comfort and Delta Main. Delta One includes fully lie-flat seats, bedding and privacy doors, along with multi-course meals and premium beverages. Delta Premium Select offers wider seats and added legroom, while Delta Comfort and Delta Main include memory-foam cushions and entertainment systems with more than 1,000 hours of content.<\/p>\n Beyond the nonstop route, the new service opens one-stop access to nearly 70 destinations across Europe, India and Africa through Delta\u2019s joint venture with Air France-KLM. At peak summer, Delta, Air France and KLM together will operate up to 10 weekly nonstop flights between Austin and Europe, serving both Paris-Charles de Gaulle and Amsterdam. From Paris, travelers can connect onward across Europe, India and Africa on Air France. Delta\u2019s partnership with Virgin Atlantic adds further connectivity beyond Europe.<\/p>\n
