The reason was Natures Marines, Hermès’ enchanting new 34-piece porcelain tableware collection, which brings the beauty, movement and mystery of the sea to the dining table.

Created over four years, the collection transforms an ordinary meal into an imaginary underwater expedition. More than 100 species of marine flora—from algae and wakame to corals, sea fans and other delicate forms—meander across plates, bowls, salad dishes, teapots and teacups. Together, they create a dreamlike seascape that appears to sway gently with the tides.

The Nature Marines porcelain tableware is available at Hermès’ Manila.

The exquisite designs were illustrated by British artist Katie Scott, whose fascination with 19th-century English botanical illustrations and the marine flora of the Welsh coastline is evident in every meticulous detail.
