A woman from Miami-Dade County has been arrested after detectives say they seized more than $1.7 million in counterfeit luxury goods from her home and a storage facility following a six-month investigation into an advertising scheme she participated in.<\/p>\n
According to reports, 36-year-old Liudmila Perez-Labrada was booked Tuesday on charges of offenses involving counterfeiting private labels and counterfeit goods valued at more than $20,000 and involving 1,000 or more pieces, according to jail records and the arrest report.<\/p>\n
She was previously charged with offenses involving counterfeiting private labels in July 2025, when Miami-Dade deputies claimed they confiscated almost $1 million in counterfeit Louis Vuitton products from her home.<\/p>\n
The case began in February, when the Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office received a Crime Stoppers tip saying counterfeit goods were kept and sold out of her residence in the 3100 block of Northwest 81st Terrace in unincorporated West Little River. The Miami-Dade County Regulatory Affairs Division also notified the Sheriff’s Office.<\/p>\n
An Instagram account named “Elegance and Glamour” was linked to Perez-Labrada, who placed orders for merchandise in the mentioned account, according to the report. Between February and June, an undercover investigator purchased four items using the account \u2013 a Louis Vuitton handbag, a Gucci crossbody bag, an Alo top, and two Louis Vuitton bathing suits.<\/p>\n
The merchandise cost much less than retail. The Louis Vuitton Pochette Eva bag cost the buyer $211 instead of $1,460, and the Gucci bag cost $230, according to the report.<\/p>\n
The buyer paid via a Zelle account, and Munekas Boutique LLC, the defendant’s business, received the funds. Brand representatives of Louis Vuitton, Gucci, and Alo examined the items and provided affidavits confirming they were counterfeits.<\/p>\n
Detectives requested a subpoena for information about Zelle accounts associated with the number used in the transaction. Records from November 1, 2025, to April 14 reflected more than 570 deposits totaling over $112,000. Payment memos included brand and merchandise descriptions similar to those Perez-Labrada sold.<\/p>\n
Detectives then obtained a search warrant and searched the residence on July 22. According to the report, a room in the residence was organized like a retail store, and the merchandise was displayed for sale. During the search, a lady came to purchase the counterfeit goods, according to the report.<\/p>\n
She also told investigators she rented the storage facility, where investigators seized additional merchandise, the report said.<\/p>\n
The confiscated items were marked with the logos of such brands as Louis Vuitton, Gucci, Chanel, Dior, Balenciaga, Prada, Cartier, Hermes, Fendi, Burberry, Tiffany & Co., Yves Saint Laurent, Alo Yoga, Bottega Veneta, Celine, Givenchy, Goyard, Miu Miu, Tory Burch, and Chrome Hearts, among others.<\/p>\n
“Private brand investigators determined that the total retail value of the seized counterfeit merchandise, had the merchandise been authentic, would have been approximately $1,743,045,” the report said.<\/p>\n
As the Miami-Dade woman underwent major surgery recently, the arrest has not been made during the execution of the warrant, and they notified her that they would return, according to the report. A judge set her bail at $7,500 on Wednesday. She was staying at the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center.<\/p>\n
