Paris, a stand-up comedian and TV host<\/a>, was at the secluded beach for the first time, a recommendation from ChatGPT for the best place for a quick getaway from the Los Angeles grind.<\/p>\n RELATED: Mountain biker dies a month after rattlesnake bite on California trail<\/a><\/p>\n \u201cIt almost feels like I\u2019ve been set up to be murdered by technology,\u201d he said jokingly via cell phone between media interviews on Aug. 26. \u201cThe one day I\u2019m trying to have peace, this is crazy.\u201d<\/p>\n Video he posted of the snake sighting on Aug. 19 has gone viral with news outlets throughout the country picking up on the story, as he comically recounted the unlikely encounter.<\/p>\n The video shows a seagull snatching his chip bag, and then the snake slowly moving through the sand.<\/p>\n \u201cThis is a wake-up call for everybody at the beach who are on the phone, you\u2019re tanning, you\u2019re not paying attention,\u201d he said. \u201cLook down, be aware.\u201d<\/p>\n Paris said he\u2019s been around a lot of wildlife lately, recently feeding kangaroos in Australia, so he wasn\u2019t scared.<\/p>\n \u201cI feel bad; I was actually at his house,\u201d Paris said.\u00a0 \u201cI knew it wasn\u2019t going to hurt me, it\u2019s like the woman in King Kong at the end.\u201d<\/p>\n But Paris added that he was glad he wasn\u2019t on his towel, where he had been just minutes earlier, right where the snake headed as it went into the brush toward the hills.<\/p>\n He said he alerted two other girls on the beach\u2014 joking that it was like a game of telephone and up to them to warn others \u2014 before packing up his stuff and heading home.<\/p>\n \u201cI couldn\u2019t get over that they swim,\u201d he said. \u201cThe poor thing was so hot, I\u2019m assuming.\u201d<\/p>\n It\u2019s not the first time a rattlesnake has crossed paths with beachgoers at Crystal Cove; a grandmother needed treatment after being struck by a snake a decade ago.\u00a0<\/a><\/p>\n According to the California Fish and Wildlife Department, rattlesnakes do swim, warning on its website: \u201cDo not grab \u2018sticks\u2019 in the water.\u201d<\/p>\n \u00a0<\/p>\n \t\t\t
