Stellantis has appointed Arnaud Belloni as chief executive of its Fiat, Abarth and Lancia brands, effective today (1 September 2026). <\/p>\n
He will simultaneously take on the role of CMO for Europe, reporting to Emanuele Cappellano, COO for Enlarged Europe. <\/p>\n
Stellantis tied the leadership reshuffle to its FaSTLAne 2030 strategy, announced in May 2026, which designates Fiat as one of the group’s four Global Brands. <\/p>\n
The plan sets out broader market coverage for Fiat via new global platforms, with the Grizzly and Grizzly Fastback due to follow the Grande Panda in expanding the brand’s C-segment presence. <\/p>\n
The appointment brings Belloni back to Stellantis, where he previously spent 16 years across the group’s Italian and French brands. <\/p>\n
His earlier roles included brand marketing director for Fiat and Lancia, managing director of Lancia France, and vice president of marketing for Asia Pacific. <\/p>\n
Belloni arrives from Renault Group, where he worked as global CMO from November 2020 before being named chief branding officer for all Renault Group brands in May 2023. <\/p>\n
Prior to that, between 2015 and 2020, he held the position of global CMO for communications and sports at Citro\u00ebn. <\/p>\n
The company stated that in this period, “Citro\u00ebn delivered eight consecutive years of sales growth in Europe and became France’s most preferred automotive brand”. <\/p>\n
Gaetano Thorel continues as head of Fiat and Abarth for Enlarged Europe and will now also oversee Lancia, reporting functionally to Belloni. <\/p>\n
Outgoing CEO Olivier Fran\u00e7ois, whose career at the group spans more than three decades and includes CEO positions at Chrysler, Fiat, Abarth, DS Automobiles and Lancia, as well as a spell as global CMO, will support the transition until mid-October before moving into a strategic advisor role covering brand and product strategy. <\/p>\n
