He is also the author of the morning <a href=\"https:\/\/www.statnews.com\/signup\/pharmalittle\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Pharmalittle newsletter<\/a> and the afternoon <a href=\"https:\/\/www.statnews.com\/signup\/pharmalot\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Pharmalot newsletter<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Sanofi was criticized by a U.K. trade group for violating several voluntary codes and \u201cbringing discredit\u201d on the pharmaceutical industry for making misleading and unsubstantiated claims about its RSV medication and disparaging a rival product from Pfizer.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Prescription Medicines Code of Practice Authority (PMCPA), a self-regulatory panel overseen by the Association of the British Pharmaceutical Industry (ABPI), <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pmcpa.org.uk\/about-us\/media\/news\/pmcpa-press-release-2-february-2026-case-ruled-in-breach-of-clause-2\/\" id=\"https:\/\/www.pmcpa.org.uk\/about-us\/media\/news\/pmcpa-press-release-2-february-2026-case-ruled-in-breach-of-clause-2\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">reached that conclusion<\/a> after reviewing a complaint filed by Pfizer, which was prompted by remarks Sanofi chief executive Paul Hudson made in an interview with The Observer, a U.K. newspaper, in October 2024.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In its complaint, Pfizer argued Hudson made inaccurate superiority claims about the Beyfortus RSV monoclonal antibody that lacked relevant safety information.
