A former boutique on an exclusive London <\/a>shopping street has been ordered to pay more than \u00a3100,000 after flogging fake Chanel, Dior and Louis Vuitton<\/a> goods to unsuspecting customers.<\/p>\n

Gorgeous Boutique, which traded on Kensington Church Street<\/a>, was found selling a haul of counterfeit designer handbags, accessories, jackets and coats in 2023.<\/p>\n

Kensington and Chelsea Council<\/a> launched an investigation into the shop in 2023 after officers were tipped off about the suspected fakes.<\/p>\n

Working alongside trademark representatives for the luxury brands, officers later raided the boutique and uncovered an array of counterfeit goods bearing some of fashion’s biggest names, including Chanel, Dior and Louis Vuitton.<\/p>\n

Many of the items were being sold close to the original retail price.<\/p>\n

The genuine versions of the goods would have had an estimated retail value of around \u00a3124,000.<\/p>\n

Gorgeous Boutique was sentenced by Southwark Crown Court<\/a> on Wednesday, September 2026 for engaging in the sale of counterfeit goods.<\/p>\n

It has been ordered to pay a total of \u00a3110,000 which included a \u00a315,000 fine, as well as the Council’s legal costs of \u00a326,000 and a \u00a32,000 victim surcharge.<\/p>\n

The judge also made a confiscation order of \u00a367,000 under the Proceeds of Crime Act 2002.<\/p>\n

Councillor Johnny Thalassites, lead member for resident services, planning, and enforcement, said: Counterfeit activity can have a serious impact on our communities, undermine local businesses, and damage consumer trust.<\/p>\n
