CHANNEL CROSSING: Nona Source<\/a>, the platform owned by LVMH Mo\u00ebt Hennessy Louis Vuitton<\/a> that specializes in deadstock fabrics, is giving U.K. students and non-professional makers a boost with the opening of its “La Grande Braderie” event in London.<\/p>\n

La Grande Braderie is a market for deadstock that has been running in Paris for five years, attracting more than 2,500 visitors at each edition. Nona Source<\/a> said that in 2025 alone the initiative enabled the reuse of 19,000 yards of fabric and 3,300 square yards of leather.<\/p>\n

The London<\/a> event will run from Oct. 7 to 10, “reflecting Nona Source’s commitment to expanding access to circular sourcing beyond France.” It will take place at The Mills Fabrica<\/a> near King’s Cross and offer preferential access to “a curated selection of exceptional deadstock fabrics and leathers” from the LVMH luxury maisons.<\/p>\n

Nona Source said it came up with the idea of a London edition of the fair following a professional pop-up held earlier this year with The Materialist, a London-based marketplace and showroom for high-end deadstock and surplus fabrics.<\/p>\n

“The city emerged as a natural next step thanks to its strong concentration of fashion schools, young designers and growing focus on sustainable innovation,” said Nona Source.<\/p>\n

Alongside the rolls of deadstock from LVMH maisons, the event will also feature a selection of luxury fabrics provided by The Materialist, “reflecting a shared belief that transforming the fashion industry requires collective action across the entire ecosystem,” said Nona Source.<\/p>\n

The Mills Fabrica is a long-term London partner of Nona Source, and was the site of its first long-term pop-up showroom in 2022.<\/p>\n

“Returning to this venue for La Grande Braderie is both symbolic and strategic, marking the next chapter of Nona Source’s growth in London while celebrating a long-term partnership built around shared values,” said Nona Source. It added that the usual Paris event will take place later this year.<\/p>\n

Nona Source was founded in 2021 and has a Paris showroom and e-commerce site, giving designers access to high-end fabrics, leathers and yarns at discounted prices as part of its circular sales model.<\/p>\n
