\n\tHilton is producing a documentary on the era for Roku<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe heiress will feature in and exec produce The It Girls: Inside the 2000s<\/a> (w\/t) for the streamer. Her company 11:11 Media is producing alongside EverWonder\u00a0Studio, the company behind Netflix hit Reality Check: Inside America\u2019s Next Top Model, and Hi Mom Productions<\/a>, the company behind Hulu\u2019s Million Dollar Nannies.<\/p>\n

\n\tIt comes two years after Hilton optioned Sarah Ditum\u2019s book Toxic: Women, Fame and the Tabloid 2000s with plans to turn it into a doc.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe book covers the aught main characters including Hilton, Britney Spears, Lindsay Lohan, Aaliyah, Janet Jackson, Amy Winehouse, Kim Kardashian, Chyna and Jennifer Aniston.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe documentary, which is now in pre-production, will explore the time when paparazzi, tabloids and reality television transformed celebrities into commodities and fundamentally changed the relationship between fame,\u00a0media\u00a0and popular culture. It will feature archive, never-before-seen conversations and new interviews with the major figures involved.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe It Girls: Inside the 2000s will air next year.<\/p>\n

\n\tIt comes after Roku hired former Lifetime exec Nicole Vogel <\/a>to oversee its pop-culture business, building on The Reunion: Laguna Beach.<\/p>\n

\n\tIt is exec produced by Hilton, Ditum\u00a0, Bruce Gersh, Bruce Robertson, Joanna Studebaker,\u00a0Jon Adler,\u00a0Amanda Spain,\u00a0Missy Walker, Andrea Metz and Michelle Peerali.<\/p>\n
