{"id":781,"date":"2026-03-30T22:17:06","date_gmt":"2026-03-30T22:17:06","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/france\/781\/"},"modified":"2026-03-30T22:17:06","modified_gmt":"2026-03-30T22:17:06","slug":"celine-dion-announces-comeback-concerts-september-october-in-paris","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/france\/781\/","title":{"rendered":"Celine Dion announces comeback concerts September-October in Paris"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>C\u00e9line Dion is officially coming back to the stage. <\/p>\n<p>The singer announced on <a class=\"link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/celinedion\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Instagram<\/a> that she will return to the stage this fall, performing  10 shows at the Paris La D\u00e9fense Arena. In 2022, Dion canceled her North America tour due to muscle spasms. She was later diagnosed with stiff-person syndrome, an autoimmune neurological disorder, which prevented her from performing. <\/p>\n<p>The concert announcement comes after <a class=\"link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.latimes.com\/entertainment-arts\/story\/2026-03-23\/celine-dion-concert-return-paris-diagnosis-stiff-person-syndrome\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">speculation<\/a> last week by fans in Paris who spotted posters around the city referencing Dion\u2019s songs, including  \u201cPower of Love\u201d and \u201cPour Que tu M\u2019aimes Encore.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Dion, who turned 58  on Monday, called this news \u201cthe best gift\u201d of her life. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019m so happy. I\u2019m so ready to do this. I\u2019m feeling good. I\u2019m strong,\u201d Dion said. \u201cI\u2019m feeling excited, obviously. Of course, a little nervous, but most of all, I am grateful to all of you. I can\u2019t wait to see you again.\u201d <\/p>\n<p>While Dion  performed  at the  opening ceremony of the 2024 Olympics in Paris and at  an Elie Saab fashion show in Saudi Arabia, she has not headlined her own  concert since her Courage World Tour in 2020. In her  video, Dion thanked her fans, who supported her in the \u201cmost difficult times.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOver these last few years, every day that\u2019s gone by, I felt your prayers and support, your kindness and love,\u201d Dion said. \u201cYou\u2019ve helped me in ways that I can\u2019t even describe, and I\u2019m truly so fortunate to have your support. I\u2019ve missed you so much.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Dion will perform twice a week \u2014 on Wednesdays and Saturdays \u2014 from Sept. 12 to Oct. 14. In a press statement, Fr\u00e9d\u00e9ric Longu\u00e9p\u00e9e, president of La D\u00e9fense Arena, called Dion\u2019s residency a major milestone  for the venue, which opened in 2017. <\/p>\n<p>Fans can <a class=\"link\" href=\"https:\/\/paris.celinedion.com\/?lang=en\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">register<\/a> for  presale tickets until April 2, and general ticket sales will  go on sale April 10. <\/p>\n<p>Dion  discussed her battle with  stiff-person syndrome in her 2024 documentary, <a class=\"link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.latimes.com\/entertainment-arts\/tv\/story\/2024-06-25\/i-am-celine-dion-documentary-irene-taylor-director\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">\u201cI Am: Celine Dion.\u201d<\/a> In the film, the singer explained how SPS causes a vocal strain that makes it difficult for her to perform.  Before her 2022 diagnosis, she had already experienced symptoms for 17 years. <\/p>\n<p>While SPS has no known cure, Dion did not lose motivation to continue performing. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cIf I can\u2019t run, I\u2019ll walk.
