Mason Miller gave up two runs in the ninth, ending his scoreless streak at 34 2\/3 innings dating to last season \u2014 a San Diego record.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\" class=\"font-size-scaler-control\" data-font=\"16\">Nick Castellanos singled home two runs off reliever Ben Brown with two outs in the fifth to give the Padres a 6-5 lead.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\" class=\"font-size-scaler-control\" data-font=\"16\">Mois\u00e9s Ballesteros hit his first career grand slam, a 404-foot drive to right field off San Diego starter Randy V\u00e1squez that gave Chicago a 5-3 lead in the third.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\" class=\"font-size-scaler-control\" data-font=\"16\">Seiya Suzuki had a solo homer in the second for the Cubs (17-12), who have lost three in a row following a 10-game winning streak.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\" class=\"font-size-scaler-control\" data-font=\"16\">Machado had a single and two doubles, giving him 400 doubles in his career. He exited as a precaution in the seventh with a sore calf after a hard slide earlier in the game, but is expected to be available Tuesday.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\" class=\"font-size-scaler-control\" data-font=\"16\">France hit a ground-rule double to left-center in the first to score two runs for a 3-0 lead. He tripled down the left-field line in the seventh to drive in two more and make it 8-5.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\" class=\"font-size-scaler-control\" data-font=\"16\">V\u00e1squez (3-0) gave up five runs and five hits in five innings to earn the win.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\" class=\"font-size-scaler-control\" data-font=\"16\">Brown (1-1) pitched two innings in relief and took the loss. (AP Photo\/Gregory Bull)<\/p>\n<p>      <\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\" class=\"font-size-scaler-control\" data-font=\"16\">BEKASI, Indonesia (AP) \u2014 Rescuers finished removing victims from a damaged commuter train car Tuesday, confirming that the crash outside Indonesia\u2019s capital killed 14 people, all of whom were women.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\" class=\"font-size-scaler-control\" data-font=\"16\">The crash occurred Monday when a long-distance train crashed into the rear car of the stopped commuter train at Bekasi Timur Station outside Jakarta. The car was one designated for women only, a common accommodation to stop harassment. <\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\" class=\"font-size-scaler-control\" data-font=\"16\">A total of 84 injured people were taken to hospitals for treatment, said Bobby Rasyidin, CEO of state-owned railway company PT Kereta Api Indonesia. The bodies of the dead were taken to a hospital for further identification.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\" class=\"font-size-scaler-control\" data-font=\"16\">Rescue teams completed the evacuation of all victims from inside the wreckage about midmorning. &#8220;There are no further casualties,\u201d said Mohammad Syafii, the head of the National Search and Rescue Agency.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\" class=\"font-size-scaler-control\" data-font=\"16\">All 240 passengers on the Argo Bromo Anggrek long-distance train were safe, officials said.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\" class=\"font-size-scaler-control\" data-font=\"16\">Police were investigating the cause of the accident, Jakarta Police Chief Asep Edi Suheri told reporters at the scene.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\" class=\"font-size-scaler-control\" data-font=\"16\">The Indonesian Ministry of Transportation said in a written statement that authorities believe the incident began when another commuter train hit a stalled taxi near Bekasi Timur Station. <\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\" class=\"font-size-scaler-control\" data-font=\"16\">That led staff to stop a second commuter train at the station, where it was struck by a long-distance commuter train.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\" class=\"font-size-scaler-control\" data-font=\"16\">\u201cAs for the chronology of events, we are leaving it to the National Transportation Safety Committee to investigate the cause of tonight\u2019s train accident in greater detail,\u201d Rasyidin said.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\" class=\"font-size-scaler-control\" data-font=\"16\">Accidents are common on Indonesia\u2019s aging railroad network.
