Jaguar has recently unveiled the Type 01 liftback sedan, the opening model for a new age. Ferrari also rocked the automotive boat with the Luce, Audi with the Nuvolari, and Mercedes-AMG with a few models. This has sparked ideas across the parallel universes of vehicular CGI, as it turns out.

The premium British automaker has reinvented itself a couple of years ago and they gave us quite a bit of time to get accustomed to the new age of EVs, thus the Jaguar Type 01 doesn’t look all that surprising anymore since we’ve all been shocked by the Type 00 concept GT. On the other hand, Ferrari dropped the Luce like a bomb, and the fallout has been swift and decisive – all against it.

The Audi brand from Ingolstadt created Nuvolari, their take on the Lamborghini Temerario with a plug-in hybrid setup and no less than 987 combined horsepower, while Mercedes-AMG has also shocked the audiences with the wacky GT 4-Door Coupe liftback sedan that introduces not only a dedicated AMG EV platform but also certain signature design cues that weren’t overly appreciated by everyone.

One thing is for sure, though: times they are a changing across the automotive industry, as Bob Dylan used to sing. Maybe this reinvention for Western makes also has to do with the assault of Chinese brands across international markets, which have already overrun the Old Continent and UK automotive sectors and now they’re setting their sights on North America via Mexico.

Naturally, all this commotion is prime real estate for the members of the imaginative guild of digital car content creators. One of them, which also has deep ties with the automotive industry, has cooked up a wacky solution to help the high-end automakers survive what’s coming.

Mo Ismail, the previously independent virtual artist known as ‘mo_aoun_ismail‘ on social media, has decided to play with new segments. The pixel master, who actually works as a Senior Creative Designer at Jeep and previously designed for Ram Trucks, has a new ongoing CGI series where his unofficial, hypothetical design projects are semi-trucks from premium and exotic brands.

His first attempt was a crazy one: he took the limited-edition Mercedes-AMG CLE 646 Spezialanfertigung sports car of the CLE series, equipped with the extensively enhanced AMG M177 EVO 4.0-liter V8 bi-turbo engine that churns out 646 ps or 637 hp, and created the first-ever semi-truck for the Mercedes-AMG brand out of it. Here, the solution is pretty relatable – Mercedes-Benz has been making big trucks for decades, and a Mercedes-AMG semi could be a star attraction in their Formula 1 paddock.

But he didn’t stop there and started expanding this wacky idea into a proper CGI series with the Audi Nuvolari cabover truck, the Ferrari CZ26 semi-truck, as well as a Jaguar version. Here, the CGI expert not only created a Jaguar Type 01 workhorse but also did the rebranding and logo differently. So, what do you think – yay or nay? Should they just take a leap of faith into the professional hauling sctor or not?
