Berlin Wall exhibit arriving at Union Station in Kansas City

History rolled into Union Station Kansas City on Wednesday as crews unloaded massive sections of the Berlin Wall ahead of a new international exhibit opening later this month.Six original sections of the Berlin Wall arrived in Kansas City for “The Berlin Wall: A World Divided,” a traveling exhibit making its first stop in North America.The exhibit will place visitors inside life during the Cold War through more than 200 original artifacts, personal stories and interactive displays focused on families separated by the wall and the division between East and West Germany.Visitors also will come face-to-face with actual pieces of the Berlin Wall, one of the most recognizable symbols of the Cold War era.Union Station says the exhibit opens May 29 and will remain in Kansas City through the end of 2026.Tickets are available through the Union Station Kansas City website.

History rolled into Union Station Kansas City on Wednesday as crews unloaded massive sections of the Berlin Wall ahead of a new international exhibit opening later this month.

Six original sections of the Berlin Wall arrived in Kansas City for “The Berlin Wall: A World Divided,” a traveling exhibit making its first stop in North America.

The exhibit will place visitors inside life during the Cold War through more than 200 original artifacts, personal stories and interactive displays focused on families separated by the wall and the division between East and West Germany.
