Nonstop flights from St. Louis to Franfurt, Germany are increasing to five days a week. Lufthansa Airlines will start the additional flight offerings Monday from St. Louis Lambert International Airport and they will last through October.
The nonstop flights to Frankfurt offered out of St. Louis are routinely available on Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays.
“We are glad to see this increase in service by Lufthansa on the fourth anniversary of non-stop service to Frankfurt,” Airport Director and CEO Rhonda Hamm-Niebruegge said in a statement. “The reported loads on the Frankfurt service have remained high from the inaugural flight back in June of 2022 and this is an acknowledgement of the support our regional travelers have shown to Lufthansa.”
Airport officials note St. Louis is one of 26 U.S. gateways Lufthansa serves and offers travelers 300 destinations in Europe, the Middle East, and Asia with European hubs in Austria, Belgium, Germany and Switzerland.
“We are deeply grateful for St. Louis’s exceptional community support over the past four years, which has enabled Lufthansa to fulfill our mission of connecting people, cultures, and economies by successfully linking Lambert International Airport and all of Missouri to the group’s global network,” Dirk Janzen, Lufthansa Group vice president for passenger sales of the Americas, added in his own statement. “The additional frequencies demonstrate our strong commitment to this route and will further strengthen connections between the region’s world-class academic institutions and Fortune 500 companies with Europe and beyond.”
Aircraft used in Lufthansa’s flights are Airbus A330-300 that seat 255 passengers sectioned into business, premium economy and economy classes
The flight from St. Louis to Frankfurt is estimated by Lufthansa at eight hours and 55 minutes. Excluding destinations in Canada, Mexico and the Caribbean, the only other nonstop international flight out of St. Louis is to London, England — those flights offered by British Airways began in April.
